We signed Torres on the 4th July last year, so we may still hopefully conclude some deals soon.

To be fair, not much transfer activity has taken place with any clubs yet anyway.

      True.

But I do think Rafa will sign some big name soon. It will be a big surprise to everyone.

After the Euro's the movement of players in and out of club will be crazy. Especially with sides like Russian and Turkey making a deep run where they have a lot of players who are pretty much unknowns so club will be bidding on them base on the Euro's.

Don't clubs have to wait for the transfer window to open? daft people constantly saying " we haven't signed anyone yet". Yanks get your wallets ready and don't be tight.

Don't know about anyone else but the wilderness of Liverpool players having holidays does my head in!  :f_tongueincheek:

Summer's a time for us to relax!!

Once July starts, we'll see some signings. Wont we?

Not really a daft thing to say though mate, you can sign players before 1st of July, but they will only arrive at the club after the date. ;) Best thing to do if possible too, the earlier you sign the less competition! But nothing seems likely at Anfield as of yet hmph.

Don't expect any deals involving Spanish players to be sorted until their exit from the tournament...

So nothing until Monday week lads... GERRIN

Nothing on the transfer deals until the tournament is over. Reason being is the media hype surrounding the tournament detracts from any big stories the clubs want to put out to engage some interest and publicity.

Also a lot of agents are willing to wait things out and take the chance their player will have a good showing which will increase the value and really increase the amount of money he/she will get from the transfer.

I'm having serious withdrawal symptoms and to make matters worse I am away on holiday when the first pre season friendly kicks off at Tranmere.

As for signings, juicy or otherwise, don't expect too much.  it's quite clear we have got no money and Rafa is having to sell to buy.

We were better off under Moores than we are now.

I cannot to wait to see the boys in action, even if it is just in friendlies. I cannot live without my weekly dose of Liverpool FC boys.

Hope to see great, new players playing.

I may be wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure all our transfers last season were signed by July 15th, only two weeks after the window had opened. No need to panic just yet ;)

Although I'm hopeing for a couple of big names, mabey Villa or Ribery, or Silva, I don't think Rafa will get the funds from the yanks because they don't seem to have any to give. If we have to sell the likes of Xabi to buy, then I don't consider  that as good progress. I think we will be battleing on next season with pretty much the same squad. Just a couple of average players, hopeing they will come good, similar to Agger and Skrtel. Have to say they were brilliant buys, but at the time were not particularly highly rated internationally.  Have to trust Rafa finds more 'Agger' quality players rather than 'Voronin' quality.  Fingers crossed then.
