Best movies of all time

Nuns on the Run is a classic comedy film. As is the Life of Brian and the origional School for Scoundrels with Alistair Sim, Terry Thomas and Ian Carmichael in it.

Anything with George Formby or Will Hay in. They were two of Britain's finest during the 30s and 40s.

I love a good movies and there have been some classics but to put my finger on one is quite hardso here is a little selection of mine.
One flew over the Cookoos nest.
The Green Mile.
Once upon a time in a America.
Shawshank Redemption.
The Shinning.
Casino.
All great movies just as the ones above so please forgive me for not picking just one its to hard.

I'm also a big fan of Jim Carrey - Ace Ventura when nature calls, The Truman Show, Me Myself and Irene etc in my opinion are all brilliant.

It's probably been mentioned, but The Hurricane, with Denzel Washington is a cracker, too.

Saving Private Ryan is pretty damn good.

Shawshank Redemption is a classic as you've already mentioned.

My Top 5 - for what it's worth in no particular order:-

Waynes World cant beat it, and Mike Myers is a lLiverpool fan which makes the film that much better.

Snatch and Scarface. Great films for the lads

Only one of my favourite films ever!

Stunning acting in it, you really get to the heart of the violence and racism of a right-wing American group, similar to the KKK. What's amazing is Edward Norton - how much we hate him at the beginning of the film, but who goes on to try to avoid his kid brother following in his footsteps.

Shocking, emotional, raw!

Just watched American History X - Speechless, brilliant film. Now up there as one of the best films I have ever seen, so powerful.

I got really emotional when they ripped down the propaganda off their walls, did anyone else or is that just me haha?

Such a powerful and intense film. So full of hatred which then turns to redemption.

The added bonus of this film is that I used to look like Corey Feldman when I was a kid, so you get to see me in it! The Goonies is a better bet though, as I didn't have glasses back then!
