Outstanding. A totally revamped squad for under 33m? Seems highly impossible into today's football.

Awesome window.  I honestly don't think it could have gone any better.  We have transformed the team, bringing in real quality and got rid of virtually all of the deadwood.  Onwards and upwards.  Champions League football next year.

      In one word, sensational.

To transform the squad like that for just £33M is fantastic work by all concerned.

I think it's seen us overtake Spurs and Arsenal in terms of quality so I fully expect us to be back in the top four now. The fact that we collected £17M on deadline day means there should be money to spend in January should we need someone due to injuries or even to try and sign a top class player (providing we're doing well in the league)

Definitely think the club should reward Comolli with a long holiday somewhere! Not too long though as he needs to be out scouting for the January window. ;)

very happy with the deals kenny and commoli have done, timing of meireles has soured things somewhat though.
We've finally got a left hand side to the team and in adam i believe we've got a real top class player. the squad has been streamlined which will hopefully mean there will be money available in jan should we need it.

Outstanding work by all involved this transfer window.

I'm not sure it could have went any better for us as we addressed all the weak areas of the squad and moved out all the deadwood at the same time and are now left with a young quality squad.

Best transfer window I can remember.

Fantastic work by the club, the squad is much stronger with a great mix of youth and experience and more importantly desire.

We now have four months to scout a couple more top class players.

How good does it feel to be a Liverpool fan compared to a year ago!

The big thing for me this transfer window was shipping out the deadwood at the club, yes some of them will be back next season (Cole and Aqua) but to get rid of so many players, free up a lot of wages was good on the management's part.

Shame a couple more youngsters couldn't get loan deals with the lacks of Jonjo and Wilson though wouldn't be surprised unless they are getting game they could be loaned out in the winter.

As far as the players bought I still believe we over-paid for a could of players but really they performed very well and hope to continues.

Really crazy experience this being my first summer window. We now have a younger and stronger squad then we had just a few short months ago. We have exciting players that want to push up the pitch as well as push for the club, really amazing what Kenny and Damien have done in such a short time-frame. Seems a real happiness now when just a year ago it was misery.

Love the Coates/Hendo/Adam signings....but I believe the Downing/Enrique signings will be the most influential in the short term, both of these guy's are top players..(still don't understand how we got Enrique for so cheap).

Great job by all involved, onwards and upwards we go.

Can quite believe that.  And if true, then even more astonishing how they have turned the squad around. Made us leaner, stronger and financially back on a brilliant footing.

I feel bad for Bellamy! Yet again a signing is overshadowed by a money grabbing tw*t! Welcome back Bellers! :) Really we were losing good bench player who wasn't getting his game with us...and yet he'll walk into Chelsea's team...says more about them really! All in all its one of the best transfer windows I've ever seen. We dare to dream!

I am very happy with the business we have done in the Summer window.

People can say what they like about the fee's in which we have payed for players but when you look at the overall net spend, we have done extreamly well.

We have got a lot of expensive fringe players off the book's which will save us money on wages whilst vastly improving our first team squad.

We now have youth on our side and players who are hungry for success with a squad which boasts many options. Player's can get injured and not be missed. For instance Gerrard and Johnson have not featured this season yet have not been missed.

Very happy with what Kenny and Damien have brought in and looking forward to giving it a really good go this season and playing Champions League football next. We're we belong!

Unbelieveable work from those involved, truly incredible. Also, we've got a couple of loan lads gone out who might pull in a few quid and lessen the "net spend" even further.

That net spend is pretty incredible when you consider the quality of the players we have brought in, and the lack of quality in the majority we shipped out.  I'd not realised it was that low!

I'm chuffed to bits with what has been accomplished this window.  Our squad is young with quality in all areas.  Happy days!

Delighted with the squad now, signed some young british talent and proven players in the premier league whilst getting rid of the deadwood. f***in well in Kenny! And to think Steven Gerrard is yet to return, the future is bright at Liverpool Football Club once again!  :scarf:

Excellent job, thrilled we brought in quality players, with Downing and Enrique being my pick of the bunch. Pleased we got rid of so much deadwood (admittedly for little money). Its almost as if Hodgson was never here now. I think we have players that can play on a cold night at Stoke, that will fight for the club and hopefully will in the coming years pick up enough cups and titles to satisfy even the greediest of supporters.

I honestly thought there would be real problems between Kenny and Comolli, judging by our signings it appears they are in perfect sync. Really happy that things seem to have gone so well.

Absolutely delighted with the progress we have made this summer. Great signings and just as important is the players that we have gotten off of the wage bill. The Meireles saga surprised me a little, I must admit that whilst I think he was a good player for us I am not in the slightest bothered that he has gone. And we didnt lose much, if any, money on him.

Well done to the King and also a big well done to Damien Commoli. Interesting times ahead.

      Net: £32.7 Million

Rory Smith reporting we've cut £30million a year off the wage bill too.

      http://www.theanfieldwrap.com/2011/08/the-great-net-spend-rope-trick-and-more-moneyballs/
This talks about the sale of Torres (50m) on a big salary, and the replacements on a fraction of the salary. ie BEFORE todays 20m ish sales.

So lets see, this Summer=  32.7m net spend on players. 30m less on wages.
This equals.. well I'll let someone else do the maths.

We've spent 2.7 m. Or about 23m less than Joke, sorry SToke City.
Maybe I'll leave the champagne in the fridge tonight...
