Agree with the pair of you.

Gotta to give the player a chance over the course of his season - Rafa wouldn't make a snap judgement like that anyway.

I don't want anyone who struggles to get in even the Spurs side.

You are all setting your targets way too low.  We are the five times Champions of Europe.  Come on lads.  Defoe isn't good enough either...

He can be a lot better. Spurs don't play him the way he should be played. With another quality striker, he could be class.

Defoe is very good on the ball, just not so good off the ball.

Defoe does not make space for himself or for others that is why he hardly plays for England or starts for Spurs

Defoe for bellamy would be a great swap but tottenham wouldn't let him go ,and anyway Kuyt ant Bellamy are a world class partnership up front

I agree, Bellamy and Kuyt are looking like a really good partnership now, long time since we had a decent one of those. I think Craig will come good and score loads of goals for us.

we are a world class team. bellamy is NOT a world class player. Kuyt and crouch are the way to go in my opinion.

He scored lots of goals last season for a mediocre blackburn team. He is working his socks off for Liverpool and I think he will score a good few goals. I thought he'd be club top scorer at start of yr, might still make it.

Speculation grows around the departure of Bellamy.

I have lifted this from the Daily Mail this morning. It suggests that Villa are looking at a move for Bellamy and we (amongst many others) are looking at Bent....

The race to sign Darren Bent will be crucial in deciding the futures of Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe and Liverpool's Craig Bellamy, who could be sold to fund a move for Charlton's prize asset.

Aston Villa are preparing a £9m bid for Bellamy barely six months after he joined Liverpool from Blackburn, while Defoe is being lined up for a £12m move to champions Chelsea.

This was also reported this morning on Sky Sports News so is there are credence in this report????????

why sell a striker just to buy another one? we dont need to spend money on a player who is not proven at a big club.

It seems we are setting our ambitions too low. Why do we keep on getting exited about the prospect of buying mediocre players from mediocre mid table teams. 5 Stars and we're still not trying to tempt the worlds  top talents.

Keep Bellamy as he works hard ,always making good runs but not sure about Defoe as there is better class of striker than Defoe and would wonder why Spurs are getting rid of him
