Thanks MsG, good luck at the doctor's, hope it's nothing.

As for the parrot, well he's my sister's actually, and when he's not being a loud little bugger, I like him :D It's a yellow and grey nimfa, and he's name is Tweety :)

Anyway, good luck at the doctor's.

While I'm posting here, my back is pretty good; very stiff though after the busy day yesterday.

Maybe try an anti-histamine before booking with the doctor, Cas. Save yourself a few bucks.

Hope your lip's feeling better, Kate. Tbh it's kind of a funny story.

I have a very nasty red mark on my arm, I was sitting outside the pub last weekend in Liverpool when I was either stung or bitten by something, I didn't think anything of it at the time but my arm has got worse as the weeks gone on, there's a patch on my arm that is red hot, and  it actually feels swollen, it's also really itchy, I'm going to have to go to the Doctors tomorrow as I have a feeling it might even be infected :f_steam:
Hope it's nothing like this Cas Human Bot Fly Removal  :P

Don't think there's much chance in the UK though, thankfully.

EDIT: On second thoughts Cas, it's probably better if you don't watch that video  :D

Yep, I went to the Chemist...or the drug store as you would call it   she gave me some special cream, which I have to say has worked brilliantly, the itchiness has gone right down as has the swelling and redness.

Cost me £3.49 for the cream but well worth it if it does the trick as against £7.49 for a prescription if I'd have seen the Doctor.

Glad its getting better Kate, your mouth is the quickest healing part of your body  ;D

Fortunately I didn't have to see the Doc.

OMG Dave, that is disgusting..made me feel quite sick watching that, thankfully it was nothing like that, when I first saw the pic on the video, it looked like a pig's nose

EDIT: On second thoughts Cas, it's probably better if you don't watch that video  :D

Too late I'm afraid...wheres the sick bucket  :o

Hit my knee on the bed's edge while walking. Funny how that happens so many times. :-\

Have somehow managed to twist or strain my knee, hurts like a b***ard and very swollen - I'm at a loss as to how I did it, but it swelled up overnight and I ended up getting up at 4am to take some codeine in the hope I might get a few hours sleep.

After all the drama I've had in the last week or so, this was the last thing I needed :(

Try an anti inflammatory such as Ibuprofen or diclofenac. If you don't recall inflicting any trauma to your knee, it could be a number of causes tbh. If it's no better in the morning, get your self to the doctor first thing. Tell your GP practice that you need an emergency appointment today. I don't want to worry you as it could be something and nothing but, if you have no recollection of doing anything to cause it, it could be something that needs attention ASAP. Good luck mate!

Good advice - docs sending me for a scan, which I assume means an mri.

best part of 3 days in hospital, on an antibiotic drip.

Home now, with a sh*t load more antibiotics, then docs again next week for a check up on it.

Pretty fu**ed up few days, but all good now.
