I see many guitarists here. Any of you fans of guitar effects pedals?

Yes but haven't got a good enough electric guitar to justify one yet. :D

I get you, I don't think my guitar -- a Squier Telecaster Classic Vibe -- nor my guitar playing skills justify me owning fancy pedals, but I do envy those who own a large collection of pedals! I own only two so far, an Ibanez TubeScreamer and a Electro Harmonix Holy Grail Reverb, it does the job but I would love to get myself a delay pedal.

I have one, it's a shitty cheap one that I needed for a gig a year or so ago.

      Danelectro FAB echo pedal.

I have a TC Electronic Nova Delay and its my pride and joy, google it and see how lush it is.

Oh in guitar news, I have a new Crafter acoustic for Xmas, and its a 32nd Anniversary Edition and is truly stunning, when its Christmas I will post pics but here is a taster :)

The birds and the branch are actual inlays not paint, its like they are etched in and the electro acoustic side of it is very versatile.

      Expect some Wheatus!!!  :666:

      ^ I like it.

I've still got my trusty acoustic I bought off a mate for £20. (Bargain of the century)

And I have a Squier Strat. I've replaced the strings and gave it a red pickgaurd, with an almighty struggle getting the new one on as the holes were drilled in the wrong place! :D Not going to do any more to it though. May as well get a new one soon.

Sweet guitar there Alastair, make sure you do a video demo for us when you get it so we can hear what it sounds like!

      On another note...

I collect them. My two latest additions are Noel Gallagher and Pete Doherty. I lured Noel Gallagher into my garage and locked him in (the real reason Oasis split up). Pete shot round after I'd told him what was growing in my back garden.

      No you don't.

I'm the only Bloc Party fan in this vill-age.

I actually like Helicopter and Banquet.

I want to get my mate a small/ mini guitar like a ukulele for Christmas because he wants to learn the guitar but isn't committed to it, and I don't want to spend too much on him. :D

I will do when I can. I got a RAT recently but I might swap it for a Boss Turbo Distortion because the 9v socket for it is different than most and I can't get hold of a power supply that works with it.

Thinking whether I should bring me electric guitar from Malaysia here, haha.

Been putting tabs of Green Day together so I can go home and record and hopefully I can post the videos on here and receive some nice (or not so nice) feedbacks.

I'm not a very good guitarist but I just like to do what I feel like doing.

Nice one. I was undecided whether to get a Turbo Rat but I already had a EHX Big Muff, so I didn't need that much distortion. Getting a TS9 Tubescreamer for Christmas.

If you want a dirty sound get yourself one of these...

It's the HT-Dual pedal from Blackstar, got a valve actually inside it so it's all warm valve tone but melts the face at 500 yards  :D

I nearly bought a Blackstar Cab but I got my Orange 412AD at a cheaper price.

With that pedal could I use it straight into a cab, Im guessing thats what emulated output means?

I have a squier stratocaster but I dont get the time to practice, early mornigns and late nights and all that sh*t.

I am a total beginner - any tips please...??? I love rock music and the guitar and would really like to be able to play.

What should I do to start and to get my interest kicking in again, any suggestions.

      Thanks
