We F***ing twatted them. From start to finish we showed our sheer class, our desire and the reason why this race for fourth is nowhere near over.
One of the most pleasing things today was the delivery from set pieces. Usually we fail to put a decent ball in from a dead ball situation but today we were constantly putting it in the right areas. Every time in the first half we had either a corner or free kick, Stevie was hitting the right area. Could of easily scored from every set piece we had in the first half.
Second half we tailed off a little bit but were still in cruise control, Sunderland never really threatened us and were made to look like a very, very average side.
That's the way our Liverpool sides should be playing from now until the rest of the season, a Liverpool side without shackles. Being given the freedom and seeing players interchange their positions. No side would of been able to cope with us today.
Reina - sheer spectator.
Johnson - did well going forward and great ball for Torres' second.
Carra - looked calm all game.
Agger - was out F***ing standing.
Insua - defended as well as he has all year.
Maxi - good first half, sort of tailed off towards the end.
Gerrard - was his best performance of the season, hopefully a sign of things to come.
Masch - did alright.
Babel - the one let down today, was very wasteful.
Kuyt - had a very quiet game.
Torres - should of had six goals but the two he did take were exceptional.
Aquilani - didn't do much when he came on.
Ngog - Not sure if he actually touched the ball.
El Zhar - made a couple of runs out wide.
All in all it was a very assured performance, now it's time to build upon it. Everybody was saying we needed six wins out of our last seven games, well it's one down five to go.
Come on Reds, keep it up.
