van Bommel should have not protested that much because he committed a technical fault to prevent counter attack in the injury time.

A match with some stunning goals by Giovanni van Brockhorst and Diego Forlan.

Not surprising, though, expected the Dutch to go through. Also, at least there are a couple of Liverpool representatives in the final for now!

I suppose Holland were the better team overall throughout the tournament, and Uraguay would have been boring in the final.

Replacing Forlan on 83 minutes was a big mistake, he seemed to always be Uraguays main threat, and in that final couple of minutes they could have easily equalised with the ball dropping into dangerous areas inside the penalty box. The urgency was never there from Uraguay it seemed until the very last minutes.

For that alone they deserve to be out.
