Liverpool winger Albert Riera is expected to seal his move to Olympiakos on Friday.

Rieira arrived in Greece on Thursday to tie up his move away from Anfield and he was greeted by thousands of Olympiakos fans at the airport.

Liverpool have agreed to sell Riera as Roy Hodgson looks to reshape the squad at Anfield ahead of the new season.

Riera, who joined Liverpool from Espanyol in 2008, has been on the fringes at Anfield after falling out with former boss Rafa Benitez last season.

The 28-year-old is expected to sign a three-year deal with the option for a further 12 months at Olympiakos once he passes a medical.

He's way above the standard of players we normally bring in - A Spanish international (albeit, not a current one, but recent enough) to come to Greece? I think it's a first. Plus, we have had no real left winger in the first team since our legendary captain, Djordjevic, retired - So he'll be playing all the time.
