Play gerrard in the middle and leave Lucas out and we shall beat them, especially with Valencia now out.

Another Sunday afternoon of shouting and swearing at my computer screen ahead then... I'm going to need more beers...

However, I'm not sure who I'd rather have, the standard is so low.

Vidic to get torn apart by Nando and then get sent off? Certainty :P

Another 4 goals past these will do nicely.

And here we go again....biggest game of the season for me

I'm quietly confident about this but I was for the Man City game so not saying anything apart from

CMON YOU MIGHTY REDS....lets smash these manc tw*ts!!!!

      Hope we go with

                    Pepe

      Kelly  Carra Agger Konchesky

      Johnson Gerrard Meireles  Jova

                  Cole
                         Torres

but got a feeling more likely

                       Pepe

      Johnson  Carra Skrtel  Konchesky

      Maxi  Lucas  Poulsen  Cole

               Gerrard

After witnessing the change in energy we had last night when we went three in the middle I would go with. . . Reina - Glen, Carra, Dagger, Paul - Stevie, Lucas, Raul - Maxi, Nando, Joey . . . Subs - Jones, Kelly, Skrtel, Poulsen, Babel, Dani, Ngog

good line up mate, hopefully Roy will be adventurous, the best may to beat united is to go for the jugular from the off,if we sit back they will w@nk all over us. Hopefully Fat boy rooney will be pre-occupied with plans for hittin the knockin shop on sunday night!

Our best formation for this game would probably be :

                                  Reina

      Johnson      Carragher        Agger             Konchesky

      Maxi          Gerrard           Meireles           Jovanovic

                                  Cole

                                  Torres

I actually have some thought about playing Glen Johnson on the right of midfield because he offers more offensively than defensively with Maxi Rodriguez going to the left of midfield. Then stick Martin Kelly at right back. Joe Cole has to play in the hole because in all of his games so far, he's been mind-blowing there.

Sotiris Kyrgiakos lack pace and probably would struggle against the likes of Rooney. He's great in the air, though. Jamie Carragher never had pace but he's able to read the game very well and his commitment is second to none, which compensates for his lack of pace.

Sounds really good to me. I, like you, am not a huge fan of Glen Johnson defending. Doesn't even sound right! But the man attacking is a whole different  ball game, he offers so very much in doing so and have always been curious as to why someone hasn't had the light bulb moment to turn him into an out and out winger. Come on Roy, give it a go.
As for Kelly, you must look at the youngster and see a young star in the making. His composure is only going to make him an even better player when you couple it with experience, even if it comes at the price of playing in these sort of big games.
And thank heavens Cole is back. His suspension after the Arsewipes game has in my opinion cost us majorly in the Prem. I believe he is going to be a player of huge import and influence for us going forward, so it goes without saying that  it's really good to have him back and available to the squad.

Oh, by the way, though we haven't exactly been setting the Premiership alight, I think Man U are doing a good job of camouflaging the fact that they are not in red hot form either. the worst for me would be to walk away from there with a draw. But aint gonna happen...a win all the way for me baby! And don't give a toss by what scoreline.

Vidic has been named captain for United for the remainder of the season, will make it even sweeter seeing the United Skipper sent off.

Would be no harm givin him a run there (Johnson on the wing).Worked out OK for Bale. Glen has eye for goal and can go by people - not bad in defense but don't think he's the tough tackling type. Kelly behind Glen would be a solid setup, with Glen able to get back and help when needed. Deffo might be something worth trying.

If we put the same team out from last week against Birmingham we will get battered
Lets hope Roy uses Raul and Joe and brings Stevie back into the middle so he can feed Nando
