You can throw 150 million for Jude with ease even with the Glazers. You casually dropped 100 million on Antony last summer. Your team is one striker away from being a title challenging team and adding Bellingham to the team is going to take you to the next level. You already Bruno, Casemiro, Eriksen and imagine adding Bellingham to that.

Yes we can but not heard the bongo drums us going for Bellingham. Maybe if itā€™s alleged true you lot no longer interested it might spark the flame for us going for him. Think United went quite on the deal coz many thought he was joining Liverpool.

Thereā€™s no doubt Bellingham would be massive difference and should guarantee us least top four next year. However, as for a title challenge against our noisy neighbours? Sadly I donā€™t see it. United need least another 3 additional players and even then I wouldnā€™t be confident.

Priority for me is a striker then  Bellingham in an ideal world.

You gonna watch him playing for City and winning everything, whilst our best aim is to get a top 4 spot . God forbid the club spending 300 million to rebuild the team like any proper team would do in our situation. I'd rather have Bellingham over bunch of average nobody players like Callagher, Tielmans

There isnā€™t much we can do 🤷ā€ā™‚ļø

Bellingham foden and Rodri isnā€™t bad I guessā€¦.

We will just have to buy wisely again. It can be doneā€¦. But your margin for error is tiny.

Redmen: Journo Insight w/ Neil Jones notes:

Neil had thought Jude would happen because the club didnt pour cold water on it and nix rumours

Neil believes even during January the club expected they would get top 4. The fact its consistently gotten worse might have caused this move

Club potentially spooked by the form of players. Namedrops Virgil and Fabinho. I.e. its the new normal. Not form. Which would mean more focus on rehabbing the SQUAD

Neil does mention that Jude may not have fixed the midfield alone given how poor this squad is now. If we have a Ā£200m budget, it may make more sense to spread it around - does make it clear he still would have bought Jude

Neil worries that the club is convincing themselves they are in decline and accepting where they are rather than swinging for the stars to fix it immediately

With the state of the prem this season, it could be a situation where even with big spending, Liverpool could remain outside the top 4

Liverpool do have a good track record with the "backup" options and unexciting signings

Neil believes fans will resent the signings this summer. Either subconsciously or overtly online

Neil says he saw Connor Gallaghers name and just said "please dont" for Connor's sake

Even Neil doesnt believe many of the names linked last night would be immediate starters

Neil wants to know who is making the decisions now for this summer. Do the scouts make the decisions? Is it Ward even though he's leaving? Or is Klopp driving it. Which Neil believes is the case

Neil thinks its fair to think that progress has been made on some players on their shortlists. Liverpool cant afford to go into summer missing on their targets

The whole episode revolves around a Ā£200m transfer budget. Could be hypothetical. "Jude + 50m to spend" "3 players + 50m to spend"

Neil agrees with the fans that this is a farce. And agrees with the fan sentiment. He has big doubts about Liverpool's summe

What's more worrying is who will we sell to fund this so called rebuild because fsg won't fund it themselves. We will spend Ā£60m max net. So who gets sold?

Salah and Alison. That will raise about Ā£110m.
Keep Kelleher and then sell Phillips, matip and other fringe players and with our Ā£50m already in budget that will leave Klopp with Ā£175m.
A few more to leave on free transfers and knock the wage bill down further.

PSG are losing Messi and Salah is friends with Nasser Al-khelaifi. He was spotted few months ago having lunch with him in London, if the PSG comes knocking the club might sell Salah. Salah himself would have 0 issues with moving to PSG.

Salah is a direct replacement for Messi plus he plays in the same position. You'd be a fool if you think PSG won't try for him in the summer if they lose Messi.

When talking about buying players, Bellingham is quality.

Mount and Gallagher and players like that are decent players, but not the type of quality we need to get back winning PL/CL.

So when talking about we need 2 or 3 players, not one - that doesn't mean going out and buying 3 Mounts for the price of a Bellingham is the right thing to do.

We've been told constantly we are waiting for the 'right' players.

We didn't buy any midfielders last summer/Jan.    I'm not counting Arthur because that was an absolute joke.

Will FSG stump up without having to sell of any more family jewels.  The price for these type of players should be no surprise.

We've left it so long that we likely can't really afford not to spend big to sort out the midfield. But I guess we'll see.

We didnā€™t need to have ā€œBellinghamā€ type players to win the league and CL before ? Why now

The likes of Henderson , Gini , etc weā€™re not world class at their peak but did the job that Klopp looks for in the midfield

True but they had the beast that is (or was) VVD.
Sadly heā€™s no longer the player he was so I think we should look at that department as well.

Salah has already been touted as Messi's replacement ay Ā£80mil and it doesnt seem too far of the mark for the player or the club and they can afford his wages.
The only player with a future in midfield is our bright young Spanish Star so how did we get here then with our lauded Transfer experts.
Unless we get some chump to stump up money to invest and why would they FSG will not put the money in needed to make the squad viable to
challenge because they dont want to dilute their personal investment . We have gone from being world champions to world chumps in a few short years.

We were waiting for the right man so when on earth did Gallagher become the right man? Absolute joke.

Once again we'll be sniffing around the unwanted players and hoping Klopp can turn them in to stars.

Enough is enough and action must be taken against them
