Charlie Adam (Blackpool)

There seems tobe a lot of "he plays for a sh*t team can't be good enough" going on in here.  Seems some people only want to sign 'superstars'. 

Having watched him play in Scotland, and for Scotland, I am basing my opinion on that, ok he has had a couple of good games, but not enough to justify a 9m move to Liverpool, he was rank rotten last week when Blackpool got gubbed and he was rank rotton for Scotland when they got gubbed by Sweden, he never even made the bench for the recent defeat in Prague,and Walter Smith could not wait to get rid of him for Rangers, is that the sign of a 9m Liverpool player.

He couldn't cut it in the SPHell and is suddenly a £9m player after a couple of good games in the EPL?

I'll wait till he can consistently show this kind of form over a whole season, not just a few games in the Premier League.

I was taking the piss, he wasn't good enough for my FF team, I am shocked that people would even comment on this rumour.  No offence to Adam, but it is an insult to the Red shirt that he would be linked with us.  There is zero chance of NESV spending any money, let alone £9m, on Charlie Adam.

If we spent £9m on Charlie Adam I think i'd never hear the end of it from Ranger's fans. But then again I'll always have the response that Blackpool are a higher quality than them.

Makes me laugh looking around this board the names we are linked with and the reasons why we should/shouldn't sign players.

We have that players play for lesser teams so aren't good enough, we have that players are not good enough for the current big team so wont be good enough for us.

How exactly are we going to buy players then?

The £9M price tag is pushing it, but Charlie Adam is just the sort of player who will be snapped up by a bigger club.

I think he is a decent player for Blackpool with the type of quality they have. However, If you out him in a strong Liverpool team he would look out of place and a waste of money, especially the price Balckpool are asking.

I can see Charlie in Liverpool Red - inexpensive and well worth a punt.

No steer well clear was poor at rangers. Has played well in a handful of games this season but we are liverpool surely we are not buying lads because they played five or six good games.my opinion is he would flop he is to slow and no where near good enough

I don't see this as a bad idea. He would definitely be a decent squad player, i agree he's no pace but either had Xabi. He sprays the ball around with ease and has been a joy to watch this season.

Plus you never know, Halloway might even give us him for nothing. Just for his "Hero"

While I believe Adam would be a good signing, especially at 3 million, my big problem would be that it would also halt the progression of Pacheco

We need to raise our expectations. We are no longer owned by hicks and gillette and F**k buying a rangers reject that has had a few good games. Not better than what we have so why bother
