I have always said he's the best keeper in the league if the not the world, I'd love him to get it again. Would it be his 4th or 5th?

I believe it would be his 4th. He won three in a row between 2005-2008.

He was tied with Petr Cech last season but the award was given to Cech because of a better clean sheet to games ratio.

Pepe is the man. And don't worry about him leaving, he will be here for at least another season, probably will stay so long as kenny and new owners keep improving things. !

1st: Hart (15) - 2 games in hand (1 vs West Ham later tonight, 1 against Tottenham).
      2nd: Cech (15) - played 35 games.
      3rd: VdS (14) - played 35 games.
      4th: Pepe (14) - played 35 games.

note: If the golden glove is a tie, it will go to VdS as he's played one less game than the others.

edit: No clean sheet tonight for VdS; One-nil to the Arsenal, One-nil to the Arsenal, nice one Aaron Ramsey :D

Joe Hart has to face Spurs yet. Cech + VDS have to face each other.

Peps has a big chance! :)

Thought we'd played 35 games now, with 14 clean sheets ? May be wrong but looking good for Pepe anyway. Could still pull it off, and what an acheivment after the first 15 matches or so.

Pepe has played every game for us but have cheski, manure and shitty all had the same keeper in net each game and for every clean sheet? I'm pretty sure manure havn't anyway.

Hart has played 34/34 for Man City which includes 15 CS.
Cech has played 35/35 for Chelsea which includes 15 CS.
VdS has played 31/35 for Man Utd which includes 14 CS. *
Pepe has played 35/35 for Liverpool which includes 14 CS.

      * Kuscszak (excuse the spelling, the second string Mancs keeper) has played 4 games this season with 1 CS.

Worth noting is that the keeper must personally keep the clean sheet and not the team.

As for Fulham, Arsenal and Sunderland who are just below us in clean sheets - no single one of their goalkeeper has kept 10 personally, they are all fairly split.

The very fact that Pepe's name is even on that list, when I spent the first half of the season looking away every time we had a cross come in, says all you need to know about the work Kenny and Steve Clarke have done in sorting out our full backs.

Just worked out that so far this season we have played 15 EPL games under Kenny and 20 under Hodgson.
We have kept 8 EPL clean sheets under kenny and 6 under Hodgson.
That's 53.4% of games we have kept a clean sheet under Kenny and only 30% under Hodgson.

If kenny had been here all season then we should currently be on 18 clean sheets at least.

The best Liverpool factoid is we are the only team to score in every premier league game in 2011.
