And for those ill informed on the situation in 2005 - Michael Owen was desperate to return to Liverpool in 2005. Michael Owen knows the massive mistake he made in 2004 and regrets it massively today. I think he's still a good striker with much wisdom and intelligence and I would take him back here as a reserve striker behind Carroll and Suarez. He may have gone to the Manc scum but I would give him a second chance. At the end of the day he, unlike another striker who left us recently, won us trophies single handedly. That deserves respect and respect is what we Liverpool fans are most well known for.
