Liverpool is interested by Sao Paulo attacking midfielder Lucas Moura. Reports say that they plan to make a £9million offer to Sao Paulo.


Lucas is also PSG’s target. Advised by their newly appointed technical director, Leonardo, the French club was hoping to sign the young midfielder.

Liverpool bid $20m for Lucas Rodriguez

Liverpool are willing to pay roughly $20 million to buy Lucas Rodriguez from Lucas Sao Paulo.

The proposed offer sounds relatively low to the leaders of the Tricolor, who recently sold Piazon Lucas for slightly less to Chelsea.

His contract runs through December 2015, and his buy-out clause is $180 million.

And even though I'm not believing these latest rumours, it seems like our interest on him is genuine. Don't know how reliable the man is but I remember his agent saying some time ago that a Liverpool director approached him when he was in London and asked about Lucas availability earlier this year, but SPFC directors refused to negotiate then.

Lucas release clause is 80M euros, bigger than Ganso's or Neymar's.

This kid can beat people like they are standing still. He's got blinding pace, ridiculous skill and he's very unselfish while still being able to score goals. I already think he's going to be a better player than Ganso (though Ganso has a wand of a left foot) and with Neymar at Real he's the best Brazilian available and being second to Neymar is no real slight.

Ganso has a lot more vision than him IMO, and is the better passer of the two, while Lucas has a lot more pace.

Lucas is also an attacking midfielder but I don't see him as a classic number 10, a playmaker who stays central and passes the ball around like Ganso. With his pace and good delivery from the right side, I could see him being used a right winger at Liverpool (or at least that's where I would use him)

It would be immense, Ganso is a joy to watch, his composure and grace with the ball really reminds you of Zidane. Too bad he got injured again after just having recovered from a serious injury that kept him out for nearly the entire 2nd semester last year. He's supposed to be fit again though, probably going to be used in the 2nd leg of the Libertadores final next Wednesday. He's also in the squad for the Copa America.

Ganso is all but an A.C. Milan player. Him and Pato are going to give a few teams in Italy nightmares.

Anyone else think Ganso reminds them a bit of Fran? Great vision, wand of a left foot and skillful enough for a lack of pace not to be an issue.

Bags of talent and a lot of pace he just dances by players,a bit of Ronaldo flare about him,he looks the part and would be a nice player to have on our right wing,Get a bid in there Damien,dont let this one get away.

I think he will cost a heckuva lot more than 9M -- I'll take a wild guess and say probably triple that. But he looks to have extraordinary potential. If we're going to spend a lot of money on someone, this is the type we need to invest in. Keep your Charlie Adam and your Downing thankyouverymuch -- we'll get this lad instead.   

Apologize for off topic, this's just thinking, as our academy is only getting better and better, imo we really need the best scouts and networks work in Brazil and Argentina. I don't know but we may already have some of them there but I mean we just need best scout in those both countries work for us. If it's me I will do this by all cost! (I know a bit that it's difficult to bring very young player from Brazil to England but at least we must know early who are the genuine talents there that give us enough time to manage to bring them here).

As for this Lucas lad, he's already a Brazil national team so no way to get him cheap, but I really hope our club try to get him.

Liverpool and Spurs chasing Lucas

Liverpool and Tottenham are set to go head-to-head for the signature of Sao Paulo midfielder Lucas, according to reports in Brazil.

The 18-year-old, whose full name is Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva, broke into the Sao Paulo team last year and has made four appearances for the Brazilian national side.

And that has reportedly led to both Premier League clubs declaring an interest in him, although AC and Inter Milan are also said to be keen.

But Lucas insists he is in no rush to move to Europe and says he has not yet decided on his future.

"I read that I have decided to go to Italy, but that isn't true," he told Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo.

"At the moment my thinking is to continue and improve at Sao Paulo because I am young and need more experience before making the leap to Europe, but I haven't yet decided where I will go."

It was only yesterday or the day before that Lucas said in an interview he thinks he is too young to leave the country, that he's not ready to go abroad and wants to mark his name in São Paulo FC's history before leaving.

Liverpool look to Brazilian teenage sensation

Liverpool are currently looking at the possibility of signing teenage sensation Lucas Moura, who has starred for Sao Paulo this season.

According to reports coming out of Brazil, Liverpool are currently scouting the Brazil international who has enjoyed a successful career so far.

The 19-year old is known as one of the hottest properties in Brazilian football at the moment with his performances inspiring Sao Paulo's title challenge.

Speculation has increased over this month as the scouts used to sign Lucas Leiva from Gremio in 2007, have began watching the attacking midfielder. There would be competition for the youngster as he is being watched by a range of other clubs including Lazio, Malaga and Marseille.

But the Premier League side believes they would be able to lure him to the Kenny Dalglish revolution because, whilst on international duty, he shares a room with Lucas Leiva.

Whilst a move in January would appear unlikely, it is reported that Liverpool are looking to arrange a deal for next summer as they see him as a future prospect.

Tottenham, Liverpool and Roma are locked in a battle to sign Brazilian midfielder Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva.

Lucas, just 19, is one of the hottest properties in South America and has been earning rave reviews for Sao Paulo.

The teenage superstar has already made his breakthrough into the Brazil side and would love to follow in the footsteps of his fellow countryman Neymar, who is expected to make a big money move to Real Madrid .

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has been strongly linked with a move for the talented midfielder, while Kenny Dalglish has also been keeping a close eye on his development.

Reports suggest that Liverpool are using the same scouts who brought Lucas Leiva to Anfield during the summer to help negotiate a move for Lucas Moura.

But they will have to act fast as reports in Italy suggest that Roma have now entered the race to sign him.

Sao Paulo will only consider letting their star player leave if they receive a bid in the region of £20m when the transfer window re-opens in January.
