So, english players only....
Carragher (I think he joined the club in 1992, the first year of Premiere League era, if my memory is correct) - stealing an Everton promising youth and making him a Liverpool legend...
Owen out - after being sold he only became worse and worse, it was the good moment to part ways. Also showed no loyalty to his fans when he joined Utd after Real.
Crouch in and out - a precious squad player when he was here but nothing more. Would have been an error to give him a more important role, as he would never have been a prolific striker, so letting him go instead of giving him more playtime was a good move too.
Konchesky loaned then sold out - loaning that regular starter under Roy to an inferior league club was the beginning of the good second half of our last season and allowed our very good young LB to show their talent.
Adam bought for 6m - we weren't far to purchase him for 12 or 13m last january, then got him for half this price this summer. good business to have waited.
