Apart from sport, I've not watched anything on TV for 18-24 months now. I do however watch TV DVD Box sets. I watch these in a random order, the only proviso is I won't watch 2 seasons/specials of the same series in a row. Currently on my play list -
Dr Who - Halfway through David Tennant's first season as The Doctor
Star Trek Deep Space 9 - Usually put all the Treks back into rotation every couple of years.
Prisoner Cell Block H - Some great story lines, if not so great acting, sets and production value. A cheesy pleasure of mine.
Babylon 5 - Currently up tp season 5, had seen the odd episode here and there before. Season 3 was a stunning arc.
Curb Your Enthusiasm - Up to season 4 so far. Uncomfortably funny at times.
Only Fools & Horses - Got a few of the specials to go, next up is Fatal Extraction.
The Sopranos - Haven't yet started watching and never seen a single episode before. Hope it lives up to the hype.
Farscape - Wrongly labelled as Muppets in Space, it's far better than that, with some great arcs, brilliant characters & is a wonderful visual treat.
The Shield Season - Up to season 3, another show I'd never seen before. Brilliant, just brilliant.
My Name Is Earl - Had seen the first two season, looking forward to finally catching the final two.
Being Human (complete as of this date) - Currently watching season 3, really enjoying it.
Apart from those, I've also collected over the years
Friends complete, it still holds up, though probably went a season or two too far.
Angel complete, Lucky to get a 5th series, but ended on a high.
Smallville 1-9, patchy in places but largely enjoyable.
Stargate SG-1 Complete, hugely enjoyable romp.
Transformers Complete 80's cartoon + film), a childhood favourite.
KnightRider Complete, another childhood favourite, doesn't hold up very well.
24 1-Redemption, liked them all so far.
Alias Complete, season 5 lost me to be honest, but enjoyable if not essential viewing.
'Allo 'Allo 1-7, possibly racist, definitely sexist, implausible character interaction. Still funny though.
American Dad 1-3, more consistent than Family Guy, maybe not as funny.
The A-team 1-2 - Holds up better than KnightRider, but not by much. Opening titles still takes me back to Sunday afternoons with Tea & Crumpets.
Battlestar Galactica Mini series - 2, season 2 started to lose me, enjoyed the finale, hope season 3 picks up a bit.
Blackadder Complete, 1st series and special that bookend the series aren't great, but the filling seasons are great.
Brasseye complete - A mockumentary series, some references and celebs are out of date, the series holds up though.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer complete. Still holds up, apart from season 1, which looks and feels a little off, when compared with the rest of the series.
Charmed 1, never watched before, a friend recommended it, so picked up the first season. Enjoyable, but a little show of the week.
Chuck 1, I love this show, funny, great cast and a great premise.
The Colour of Magic - Terry Pratchett brought too the small screen, one for Pratchett fans only though.
CSI (1-6.1) Miami (1-5) New York (1-2), I like crime procedurals on the whole, New York has the characters I like the best, Miami, is at times, laughable.
The Day Today - Almost a prequel to Brasseye, very funny, though dated.
Family Guy 1-7, hit and miss, from hilarious to meh.
Father Ted complete. Didn't hold up as well as I remembered, but some brilliantly funny episodes and even segments of some not so funny episodes are brilliant.
Firefly - every time I watch it, I wonder how it was axed, superb characters, well written and acted. Had so much more to offer.
Futurama 1-4 - funny, but patchy.
Heroes 1-2 - started so well, been told it lost its way. Haven't seen it all yet, so can't judge.
The Hogfather - Another Pratchett based special, better than The Colour of Magic.
House 1-4, a medical crime procedural that's funny, poignant and has highly engaging characters.
Jonathan Creek complete - yet another crime procedural, don't think it has a bad episode, but has ones that aren't as good.
King of the Hill 1-5, kind of complete, as that's all they released in the UK. A gentle comedy, that I hugely enjoy.
Life - Another crime procedural, only got 2 seasons, probably got lost amongst the plethora of cop shows. Shame really, as it's very good.
Life On Mars complete - Brilliant, just brilliant.
Lois & Clark - Picked season 1 up in a charity shop for £3, enjoyed it. Now, as I'm a completist when it comes to my DVD collection, I must complete the set.
Millennium 1-2, never seen it before, season 1 is so dark, season 2 was not quite as dark and veered of into the bizarre and abstract at times. Highly enjoyable though.
Pysch 1-2 - One of the last things I ever watched on 'proper' TV, the BBC showed season 1, then nothing.
Quantum Leap 1-2, another childhood favourite and was a family favourite. Still enjoyable, if a little preachy at times.
Red Dwarf (Complete so far) - Seasons 2-6 are brilliant, 1, 7 & 8 have their moments, as does Back To Earth. Awaiting season 10 with equal parts trepidation & anticipation.
Scrubs 1-7 - Consistently funny, touches of drama and for me, it's the support cast that kept this show going.
The Simpsons 1-5 - Enough said, though I have more than a few series to catch up on.
Sliders 1-2 - Highly enjoyable even though I find the lead a tad annoying.
Supernatural 1-2 - Never watched before I picked up the season 1 DVD set, another great show, that manages to be both a monster of the week show whilst still carrying an on-going arc.
That 70's Show 1 - Cheesy, funny and I've always had a thing for redheads is my excuse.
Xena - Warrior Princess 1 - A friends recommendation, not so great so far, hope it gets better. So many confusing sexual undertones and a definite sapphic feel at times.
The X-Files 1, slowly replacing my VHS collection, which was ruined. Season 1 is stunning though.
