So Total Appearances show in two seasons he has been troubled by injuries - only two below 30 games a season - 3 seasons above 40 games.
So what? So you think that warrants a £24m fee and £220,000 PW in wages for a 29 year old?

I've been on this forum long enough to spot a WUM a mile away, why you haven't been banned yet is beyond me.

Has the wage been confirmed ?

And if that's what it takes to get the best players in the world then yes it's worth it.

If he scores the goals to win the title or CL then that money is peanuts compared to what that will earn the club.

They will make a mint from shirt sales as well.

Why are supposed reds fighting over a player being transferred from one of our rivals to another??

Yes he scored a lot of goals last year and Arsenal fans must be fooking fuming right now (remember too, our owners like the Arsenal way of doing things!!.

I never really thought about RVP until this:
Van Persie gives Martin Kelly w*nk signal after tackle

Now I just think he is a knob.

So why did you say it in response to my post ? Still cant see the relevance ?!

RvP and Rooney together is bad news for us - potent as hell - the top two goalscorers in the league !!

Sometimes I wonder whether you'd see your own reflection in a mirror like.

You said they are going to be the most potent strike force and whatever, I was merely comparing that statement (and made absolutely no reference to you having or having not said this but again you jumped to the assumption that I was specifically saying that you did say it) to how when Chelsea signed Torres they were expected to have the most potent and dangerous strike force.

I could have told you that Torres wasn't going to fit in with their system , plenty people said the same thing .

Chelsea played one up front with wide men supporting - there wasn't a role for Torres unless he replaced Drogba. It was common sense that could see Torres would struggle.

Rooney and RvP is whole different situation - this is two guys that will thrive off each other as they both work in partnershipsz

I'd prefer him at United than Arsenal. Weakens our main competitors for 4th.

Potentially a brilliant signing for utd.

In saying that Van Persie only came to the fore when Henry left. Likewise his new strike partner Rooney, only hit top form after Ronaldo went. Basically both came good as the main man. While as a duo they have the potential to fire utd to the title they could also deract from each other and it could go wrong for them

I heard Van Persie is writing a book about his years at Arsenal but can't find a title for it.

I have to say I feel a pang of jealousy when I see United making signings like this. He will do well for them along side Rooney.
