Great win inspired by some fine performances.

Delighted we got a response from Saturday delighted weve dented there champions league qualification ambitions.

However I cant deny my frustration that we werent at this all season long. 6th home win of the season!! Does this say that some our players cant handle the pressure of playing here?

How was the first 30 minutes i missed it.

I didn't get to see any of the game, and so I'm catching up on the BBC live text to see how the game went.

Chris Bevan, BBC says this at the end:

There were a fair few other contentious incidents in tonight's game, mind, so I am not just going to single out Luis Suarez. Jonjo Shelvey made a couple of crunching challenges, and trod on Florent Malouda's head as well as scoring that beauty of a goal, while Michael Essien cleaned out Andy Carroll with a two-footed tackle that gets worse every time you see it.

Carroll impressed again, of course, but he wasn't perfect either. Let's remember he went down clutching his face after Branislav Ivanovic elbowed him in his chest.

Implying that we should have had 2 reds. I'm going to assume that this is the normal bias, but what are your thoughts?

Can't see Chelsea winning in Munich so no Champions League for Torres next season. He'll be pining for a move to Man City now.

One thing I can't understand is .. why did Chelsea rest their players?

Doesn't it make more sense to try to win tonight then rest players on Sunday when a win could have potentially give them a chance at 3rd?

Unless .. they are very well damn sure they will win the Champions League cause football is fixed xD

I'm confident that Bayern Munich will beat them. 

Great performance by everyone, but Shelvey, Carroll and Carra were immense.

Tough call between Shelvey and Carroll for MOTM.  Shelvey is like a young Steven Gerrard, right down to the bad tackles.

Andy Carroll, even though he didn't score, was magnificent.  Never stopped running and made Terry look like a right divvy.  His attitude and application has been so good these last few months and I've a feeling him and Suarez will be a force to be reckoned with next season.

Overall, a fantastic performance and best match of the season for me.  Bring on next season already!

I think Graeme Souness touched on that after the game. Playing for Liverpool isn't like playing for anyone else, the expectation levels are through the roof.

But that's an issue for management to get sorted out, for now I'm just going to enjoy a fantastic end to a fairly poor season at Anfield and hope we can make some real progress next season.

As i said earlier, this performance and result really throws up more questions than answers but now isn't the time for any deep analysis.

Now is a moment to finally cherish a committed and impressive full match display and be proud proud fans of our beloved club.

Henderson and in particular Shelvey were excellent in midfield and both have a big future ahead of them.

Suarez was his usual self and partnered up front by the Andy Carroll we hopefully will see from now on.

MOTM for me was Shelvey.

Thought that team was excellent and put a smile back on some sad faces.
Really think Carroll is coming good hope he comes back next season in that form.
What made my night was hearing the kop singing there's only one Andy Carroll. I must be a sentimental old fool, but I love seeing a player win the fans over and he has done for sure.
