WEll he was banned for 8 games and hit the bar/post far too many times.

Very true, still think 12 from Borini would be spectacular. Our new number 6 if I read it right.

Usually they just wear any number for medicals. I could be wrong!

Here's my blog on his stats and how he compares to our current forwards.

I am going more off what I have read rather than the little I have seen of him, but he sounds an exciting prospect, hopefully a prolific one too.

Partnered with Jovetic and Suarez we may have the strike force we need.

I like what I've seen of Borini. But, if I'm being honest, I'm keeping my expectations reasonable. I'm thinking somewhere around 12 league goals from him this season. I'd be pretty happy with that.

Sorry, should have clarified. I'm thinking 12 goals maximum in the league for this year. Realistically 8-10?

They'd have let him go for 8mill if he was a bag of sh*te, as it is they know as Brendan does the lad's worth bidding for.
The figure of £11m is more realistic.

Jovetic would be great!!  I'd be pleased enough with one of Dempsey, Sturridge, or Affelay though.  Will be very interesting to see where our attentions turn now that Borini is in the bag.

I think he scored 6 in 9 appearances at Swansea so you never know what the lad will be capable of.

Glad we're starting to become active in the transfer window, not sure Borini is a good choice though. Too lightweight for my liking, he can do a bit of everything, has decent movement and is good in interplay. 10 mill is still a lot of money and tbh we should've put it into getting the likes of Gameiro or de Jong.

That's true. Just want to keep me expectations reasonable for the lad and not expect way too much from him.

I think it'll depend on how he is going to be used, Rodgers knows him well but he is still a young lad after all, maybe the manager is not thinking of him as an automatic starter... I expect to see him playing quite a lot though, and as such, being a striker I'll expect him to score goals or at least create plenty of opportunities for his teammates, no matter how young he is or whatever... if he is picked, he is supposed to be good enough. I'm looking forward to seeing this lad in a LFC shirt, looks like the kind of player we'll adore.

Just been watching a few youtube clips of him. Very one footed, lightweight, reminds me a bit of Garcia with his movement and positioning, but possibly a little faster.

In the old days he would have been put on a steak diet and plenty of weights to build him up.

He's only 21, Lucas was pretty lightweight as well, but the training guys have beefed him up quite a bit compared to what he was.
