I think he deserves the title this year to be honest. His goalscoring record is just unbelievable and I think partly his personality stopped him from winning it. He even done it on the international scene during the summer. Sick of Messi winning it every year, just give it to Ronaldo this time!

But Messi scores more, gets more assists and has even been scoring more than him on international duty lately too. How can you be sick of seeing Messi win it when he actually deserves to be winning it all the time.

Madrid's goals are much more spread out among the front players tho compared to Barca's, and with Messi as the focal point there he is bound to get much more goals and assists. I'm not doubting Messi's talents at all, I just think that Ronaldo's performances over the last year have deserved him winning the award. He's playing just as good as the year he won it in, if not better.
