People can put any spin they want on it. There's nothing available or there's no value etc etc the fact is we're sh*te in the transfer market and have been for years.

Anyone denying this squad needs something coming in is in denial. We're a small squad and short on quality. Money talks we could have got 2 or 3 in if we had any idea of working the market.

We now hope and pray Sturridge keeps fit for the remainder and/or Benteke shows why we paid 32 million quid for him and Milner/Hendo/Can become Alonsos overnight

We're a small squad and short on quality.

We aren't a small squad Brian, anything but really, we're massively over bloated on numbers but I agree about the quality.  What quality we do have has been injured for most of the season and I'm not just talking about Studge.

Sakho and Lovren have dovetailed all season, one fit, one injured, one in, one out apart from 2 or 3 games they played together.

Hendo has been out since September.

Cou started the season off in fine form then got injured and although he's returned since that initial injury he's never regained that form before getting injured again.

Firmino struggled with injury early on but is improving his form.

Milner, an ever present early on has been suspended or injured.

Origi was just starting to get going before injuries hit him.

Gomez/Ings started brightly but were out for the season before Jürgen could even work with them.

There is some quality that if available could have seen us higher up the league but we have a tendency to forget what we have when we don't see them for such long periods.

Has this been the most uninteresting transfer deadline day ever?
I usually love transfer window silliness but this time I barely checked twitter to see what was going on.

So everybody else's theory on the subject is wrong but yours is right because you're angry that we didn't bring in a brand new squad? That's a very basic way of looking at things.

I don't think many are denying that the squad needs new faces but you can't just buy players without thinking of the future consequences on the squad; you really need to look at things long term instead of thinking you can just buy willy-nilly. If Klopp had signed a top striker then by the summer we'd have 6 and he's made it clear that he doesn't want to be put in such a position.

Who are those 2 or 3 that you'd have liked us to have signed?

That's exactly what I was thinking as I was on my travels today, I'd just read on my moby that Jürgen basically said go home, nothing to see here and I thought there's a hint of optimism if we can get the majority of them lads back we can easily finish the season with a good run and send us into summer with an optimistic outlook for next season.

Until euro 2016 and project owl wipes out half our squad like.

Everyone will have and are entitled to have there own theories and opinions and I've stated mine
