Phew!  Definitely got out of jail there, Mansfield can feel unlucky not to get a replay.  Shocking second half display but the game could have been so much easier if we'd taken our chances first half.

Glad to see Sturridge get off the mark early and thought Jones and Robinson were both fantastic.  Into the next round and a trip to Oldham - the positives end there I'm afraid but not going to complain too much.

We should have been 3 or 4 goals up before Mansfield started to play. Once we didn't capitalise on our early dominence I always felt they were likely to come back at us, which they did well towards the end of the first half. Second half I thought we were poor rather than Mansfield playing tha well.

Downing m.o.t.m. for me. Always open and willing to run, thought he was excellent at transition if not quite with the final ball or shot.

 Well we got out of Jail at Mansfield but we are through to the next round so who cares,That pitch was a shithole and in truth should not of been played on.It reminded me of how most of the pitches used to be in the days of leather footballs that soaked in the water and there would be muddy patches in the goal areas and other parts of the pitch.Back to the match,Brad Jones man of the match for me.

Classy response by the Mansfield manager, subsequently let down by their annoying, bitter "chief executive" who is clearly too used to getting her own way.

To be honest, I think they deserved better. There were at least 2 handballs that could have been penalties to them, and one of our goals was a handball. Im happy with the result, but I didnt enjoy the way we got it. If it had been against the scum or Chelski id be delighted, but against Mansfield, it feels like robbery.

Fair points mate. I agree. Although I never want us to win on a controversial goal. How they missed that was beyond belief.
