Ibe was not playing well in one of the games
Young lads are naturally inconsistent, it's part of their development as I'm sure you know. What I have seen I see much more potential in Ibe than I do in Sterling. Sterling just has that experience under his belt and as such has developed greater game intelligence when it comes to the defensive side of the game.
The problem I have is if you're choosing your attacking sub on the basis of his greater defensive qualities in tracking back but I do think this is the factor placing Sterling ahead of Ibe at the moment.
As for Alberto, I agree he's slow, I agree he may not be suited to the English game but... Brendan bought him! If he now doesn't rate him, what the hell does that say for his purchases?
