I saw on Twitter he agreed to 90k per week. Not sure the source though.

For 8 million and a reasonable wage, i think for Remy is a fantastic deal if it happens.
      Great addition to the squad.

      His agent.

Wages are really getting out of hand.

News breaking that Borini has rejected the sunderland move on twitter, could it be an issue for this?

      Totally agree.
Was reading that Varane at Madrid was on 25,000 a week.
Bizarre how there is no consistency.

Remy had a better shot to goal ratio than Suarez last season.

Considering the amount we got for Suarez; I doubt it. Would only bring more competition to the front line.

I'll be more than happy if this goes through at 8 million.  Borini at 14 to sunderland is a hell of a deal for us also.

Liverpool have agreed an £8.5m fee with QPR to sign France striker Loic Remy.

Personally don't rate his goal scoring record as anything special.

Much prefer this one than Bony. For 8.5m I'm happy.

£8.5m for someone who has scored 14 in 26 is pretty decent. If he played those extra 12 games I am pretty confident he would've been close to Sturridge. Just remember, he'll be in a better team here. He'll have more opportunities to score than he did at Newcastle. For what he's costing it's an absolute steal.

I think this one won't work out, either from a playing point of view or from an attitude one. I think the lads a bit of a mercenary and I think we ought to dodge it. By contrast I think by Christmas because he will have absolutely excelled in his second Premiership season, we'll be saying we ought to have bought Wilfried Bony to have filled the same role.

I really feel Bony isn't the answer. He's overrated and his work rate is highly questionable. Like a glorified David N'Gog....ok not that bad.

Bony would have given us a real threat in the air. Whole I highly rate Remy for his pace and movement his game in the air is weak.

It's a good thing then we don't rely on Fat Sam tactics!

Fair enough pal. I am a fan of Remy so quite glad if transfer goes through. Cheers.

14 goals in 26 games since he's been in England aint to shabby at all mate.

I think he'll be a big hit here.

I think Giroud is a very good player but I'd bet Remy would outscore him if and when he signs for us.

I actually think he may even push Danny in our own side.
