Wonder what the people think who don't like Rodgers losing out on his first target (Remy) think of the Bibotelli transfer.

didn't realise Rodgers lost his first target . ???

I think it's fair to say that if we bid for Remy first he was higher up any list than Mario.

Didn't the Remy deal break down very soon after the Milan match and did the 'categorical' statement that Ballotelli is not coming here come inbetween the Milan game and the failed Remy medical?

I love a good conspiracy theory so did the possibility of Balotelli arise unexpectedly, or the price plummet unexpectedly, around that time with Rodgers preferring Mario and quite brutally pulling the plug on Remy when Balotelli became a goer?

Interesting suggestion mate, worth a look at for sure.

And I'd also say that the time it took me to try and get that picture up confirms I've made the correct decision in leaving the race for the player thread.

For me the Balotelli signing has changed the whole feel of this transfer window. From being a good transfer window it has become an exciting transfer window. Not sure if it is just the potential world class player we have signed, or relief that we have finally signed a striker.

Sums it up perfectly but it's certainly exciting.

I think it's a done deal now mate. Balotelli has flown back from Italy and Ayre has turned up at Melwood now. Just need some fat bird to sing now.

Flown back? You mean hes not hanging around to watch us spank the mancs? F***ing disgrace... Ha

He meant he has flown back to Liverpool from Italy today.

He'll be at the Etihad tonight.

Talk of an announcement at 6pm.

Edit - not too sure about those boots though. There's coloured boots and there's odd, coloured boots.

I wonder if we'll see a red mohawk for his first game? can't wait to see what he says about our club and how he fits in to the city, where he lives and all that. anyone move into Reina's old place yet?
