Some of the names being branded around are a bit more like it (Petr Cech, Nathaniel Clyne, Christoph Kramer, Yohan Cabaye, Jackson Martinez, Seydou Doumbia, Mauro Icardi). However, we are more likely to end up with none of them knowing our luck.

Similar names were being spoken about in the summer though and look who we ended up buying.

Exactly fella, we're linked with all the top stars. How many have arrived since FSG's takeover... 0

We're either agents favourite leaked team to get the ball rolling or we pay them all lip service, either way anyone that is still conned by the bullshit that we're actually in for a top star, at this point, needs their head testing.

Somewhere out there is another Sami Hyppia waiting to be found, so lets fooking find him. Then find a midfielder who can open up teams with 1 cutting pass and tackle when needed.

These 2 things plus getting Sturridge fit would see a vast improvement (and if Cech is realistic get him an all)

We really need a quality goalkeeper. The goalkeeper is the most important position on the pitch and we cannot afford to wait till the summer if we really have high aspirations for this season.

There are quite a few good goalkeepers in Germany too. Not gonna say I've watched all of them extensively but from what I've seen they're pretty good: Zieler (from Hannover, counts as home grown as he played for Man Utd academy), Leno (Leverkusen), Trapp (Frankfurt), Adler (Hamburger), Horn (Koln).

Would they trust Rodgers with any money?

      Good question .

      To rub it in ....

Beckenbauer  has confirmed that Shaqiri   can go this window.

No doubt he will end up at a different Premiership team for a good price.

No point even trying for Shaqiri he would only end up warming the bench.

Xherdan Shaqiri and Alexis Sanchez were the two players I wanted most in the summer.

If Xherdan Shaqiri is available, I'd be gutted if the club do not go in for him. Add Yohan Cabaye and a commanding goalkeeper and I'd be a happy chappy.

I'd much rather wait for the summer for a striker as Alexandre Lacazette should become available and I'd hate to make an Andy Carroll kind of signing which is what will happen in January.

I really like Shaqiri and would've taken him over Lallana & Markovic, but I don't see the point in buying him now as we have Markovic, Lallana, Coutinho & Sterling. With Wilson, Ojo & Sinclair coming up, Teixeira & Ibe looking good for next season and Suso on the verge, it would be another gigantic waste of money, money that can be spent on other key areas.

GK, defensive midfielder & forward are the only positions we need to focus on in my opinion.

You want to sign an injured keeper?

Don't you think it's odd that we haven't heard anything about Valdes since his "trial" with The scum?

Shaqiri, Cabaye, and Cech = just might have a chance to finish in the top four.

Agreed. Add Jackson Martinez as well. These four players are all available in January and would make a MASSIVE difference to the first team. About €60-£70 million should be enough to attain all four. But will FSG cough up to save our season? Like F**k they will.

Maybe but I think Rodgers will offload a few players and you never know we might find uncover another Coutinho.

I'm not sure we uncovered Coutinho really. He was well known as an excellent prospect.
I also don't think we have many players to unload, and certainly not any who would command a big fee.

An injured keeper would probably still be an upgrade on the joker we have in goal at the moment.

I was really disappointed to see Sebastian Coates loaned out to Sunderland. He was superb in pre-season and looked so comfortable on the ball and a bit of a brick wall defensively. He had seemed to come on leaps and bounds and then was loaned out.
