You might be right, but given his tendency to shirk contact on occasions having watched it a couple of times I had it down as a backed out of shot. Matters not a jot as he still gets the assist, if he did mean it it was some ball anyway.

Like I say mate you could be right. I watched it back a few times and couldn't really 100% say for sure either way. If it was meant it was an "assist" in the truest and fullest sense, an absolutely brilliant pass. In some respects a bit like that one that Joe Allen did earlier in the season (to Ibe I think), one of them that IF HE DID mean it it was an unbelievable piece of play.

If you do not try stuff, you won't succeed in other brillance. Gerrard used to say that a wrong corner would  improve massively on the second.

Came back to form with a bang last night. After a spell were nothing seemed to come off for him and were he  struggled, he really opened his locker last night and showed all the tricks he owns. After last night he owns a few of their players too.

In all honesty I think he is short a yard of pace but with skill like he showed last night I am not sure he really needs to worry about it. 

Works hard too.

Had a good game. He owed us a performance and looked better roaming in and around a proper striker.

His form was awful going into this game but he upped it last night.

I don't actually remember him giving one of 'his' many sloppy passes away!

He was sublime last night.
Some of his moves and touches were things we haven't seen since Suarez left. Gorgeous stuff.
Agree though that my one issue with him is his pace or to be more precise, his acceleration. He just doesn't appear to have any BUT, bugger me, which skills like he showed last night he can happily stroll around at times.

I was not watching Firmino on Bundesliga, but now what i can see is that, if he got injured he needs to many time to be fit again.

Fantastic cameo by Firmino today. Looked sprightly and energetic. And another goal to add to his collection this term. He's done well.

Confused by this. I did not think he was that good yesterday but a lot of people weren't. Are you failing to realize how Firmino was our best player for a ton of games a few months ago, then the rest of the team actually showed up and we started playing better?

Soldado must really hate playing against us. If he isn't getting crunched he is getting completely humiliated by a piece of skill
