I have absolutely no issue whatsoever with what the supporters did today.
You cannot merely take the issue of a walkout in the context of this match. For too long, they are being asked to cough up time and time again to pay to watch this cataclysmic f**k up of a great institution. My god, the only semblance of any hope in this club is the manager. Everything else - above and below, whether it is the boardroom and the destructive transfer committee or the squad of players - is letting him and the fans down.
There is a reason why Liverpool fans have taken to Klopp. He has passion, he has love for the game, he has the romanticist streak, he is determined and most importantly, he is a winner. It is clear why he is so popular - because he is one of us.
So now we have a strange situation whereby Liverpool FC is divided between the Good (Klopp and the supporters), the Bad (FSG, Ayre and the committee) and the Ugly (the actual team). If the good prevails, then we will win again. But the Good must be heard and listened to. Therefore, it is not right that hard paying loyal fans are having to waste money towards the bad ownership of the club.
Perhaps the walkout did have an impact on the players belief. But so what? It's not as if the players are hard done by - they earn a good wage, they go to bed and sleep easy, they'll take our money when they play bad but once we show dissent, they go off the boil? F**k that mentality. We go to bed knowing we've wasted a great deal of money to pay into their pockets, of which they are increasingly undeserving of. I'm not going to waste my breath supporting these players. They don't know what it means to play for Liverpool - if it's not showing off their sh*t haircuts on Instagram, or boasting about their scores on FIFA, then they are putting in constant horror shows like today. Enough is enough - I would quite happily pay good money to see the likes of winners like Gerrard, Suarez, Hypia, Fowler, Barnes, Carragher, Dalglish, Souness, etc play football. I'm not coughing up good money however to watch wimpish brain addled tw*ts play for the shirt of Liverpool.
We now have losers in the boardroom, losers in the transfer committee (low league sh*te all of them), and losers in the playing squad. So to ask us to pay more at time when these losers are yielding a constant malign influence isn't just insensitive, it is downright offensive.
We do have a winner in the manager. And we have winners in the supporters. If we can get our way then we'll be fine. As long time supporters, we know what winning is. We know what winning looks like. But do some blokes from America who have no idea about football know what winning is? I doubt it - they see us as a cash cow, not as a winning club. And do some hodge podge of a committee consisting of lower league fuckwits from Rushden & Diamond, Blackburn and Reading - not to mention Ian Ayre who took Huddersfield Town into administration - know what winning is? Of course not - a winning club must have winners in all aspects of the club. Not just from the managerial hotseat or the supporters.
So it might be high time for FSG to f**k off, or at the very least, gain a sense of humility and actually listen to winners for once.
