The issue was length of contract over money from everything we have heard and then the offer went and thatās what Gini has said people will know etc soon Personally I donāt think the money was the driver for Gini, he could had he wanted to have demanded a new contract at numerous point over the last 5 years, his stock being very high post the CL win for example, he just seemed happy and thought it would come What I think changed is the club made a decision on essentially 3 playersHendoThiagoGini Once we had signed Thiago it 100% weakened Ginis chance of a ālongerā contract as if we had offered that we would have had 3 midfielders around the 33-34 mark by the time those contracts are at their peak And if you look at it coldly, Hendo is skipper and vital to the squad, Thiago is newUnfortunately for Gini he is the one to be lost in all that Heās been great, I love the bloke but itās simple circumstances and I wish him all the best and hope he cashes in
Interesting that it looks like heās signing a 3 year deal at PSG.Length of contract probably wasnāt the reason why we couldnāt agree a new contract then.
Ended up at PSG pretty shows what he wanted for his next contract.
Is that a bad thing?
Depends on your thinking and shows why he wouldnāt sign the contract the club offered
Heās doubled his money - looking for a big contract while he enters his last prime years. Plus he gets to work under a manager who likes to play attacking football and gets to play alongside some world class players. Yes the French league isnāt great, however Iām sure they can go deep in the champions league like they always do. I prefer him going to PSG over those cu*ts at Barca.
Only reason he has gone to PSG , same as all the other players that go there
