We could always play it safe with :-"we're going to finish higher than eighth this season"

Don't get ahead of yourself you overly optimistic c**t!

"We're one of 20, we're one of 20, we're Liverpool and we're gonna finish somewhere in the top 20!"

Nothing wrong with people wanting to cast their aspirations to the very top. That is what football is about. Much rather that than the constant moping and misery and SHEER cynicism that turned Anfield into a funeral parlour the last couple of years.

Of course mate, and that is where my sights are set and always will be. But singing and dancing about it aint going to make it happen.

1 game at a time, that is what Kenny Dalglish believed and that is what I believe. Get the wins, be humble and move on. No need for a circus because we've gone 2nd despite playing a game more than almost everyone else.

Anyway, I don't need to keep saying it over and over again but I just feel we're counting chickens before we've even got any chickens to hatch any F***ing chicken to even count.

Hopefully this win will put to bed the notion that we can't beat teams that sit deep and park the bus.

That is exactly Swansea were doing in that second half.

I don't think that was a particularly great performance, especially in the first half. Tough to lose Lallana so early, hopefully it isn't serious.

Much better second half from us. Especially Firmino, who continues his good form with a goal and drawing the penalty. Milner, cool as you like.

No need to be miserable. Swansea away is always a tough match. 3 points there is good! Hell, any time you get 3 points, it's good.

      We're gonna win the league!!!

Nah mate, it's not that fun.

In fact it's an all round sh*t chant anyway.

There's always some miserable c**t to drag you down.

Why does it bother you if any other red wants to believe we can win the league? Running around telling people they are idiots for even suggesting it, you're a f**king nobby.

Can't stand the f**king miserys around on here these days.

Opposition fans moaning about penalties should realise they are being thick as pig sh*t. It doesn't have to take a genius to realise that the more times you play the ball into the opposition box then the greater the penalty opportunities shall arise with that simple fact. Some right dunderheads around.

Weirdly, it may work out well for us.

Lallana will miss England likely and get a rest... or he misses United game and Can gets a two weeks to build up fitness. I'd feel a little uncomfortable having Wijnaldum and Lallana in midfield at home to a Mourinho team that's got f**k all creativity and has only got strength going for it.

Plus would get a bit of height in the team because United's best chance of scoring is probably a set piece.

United fans complaining about anyone else getting penalties shows a genuinely stunning lack of self-awareness.

Fair enough, I think that's not raising the bar too much! :D

In seriousness though, whether we win it or not I think singing "we're gonna win the league" can only give the lads a boost and can only be seen as a positive when we are obviously genuine contenders on current form.

What we hoping for lads, a draw or a Spurs win tomorrow

Nothing better than winning a match after not playing that well and lulling opposition fans into a false sense of security that we will drop points.

Are those users who chose Clyne as MOTM on smoke or magic mushroom ???

He was good going forward but he was liable/poor in the first half for two marking of players.

I went for Milner as m.o.t.m. Thought he was very good on a day when we struggled a bit.

What is the point of you then? Who are you going to look stupid to?

Not totally at you this mate but I can't stand stuck up, half arsed, football supporters.

We are going to win the league and if we don't, I'll look back on the season during the times that it looked like it was still possible and think: "That was great that". Meanwhile, all the boring fuckers can sit smugly behind their keyboards glad in the fact that the chants from the Manchester United supporters (that they will never, ever meet) or the words from the Chelsea loving journalist at The Daily Mail were actually not directed at them personally as they said all along that only an idiot would believe that Liverpool would win the league.

But if we do win it I'll have had a F***ing great year. Full of positive thinking, football enjoyment in a glorious bubble where I dont read any papers or listen or care about what any supporter of any other lesser club says or thinks about Liverpool FC.

Try to live it, love it and enjoy it.

Let yourself go and just buy right into it. There are people on this forum with real problems. Being arsed about being wrong about something you said about Liverpool winning the league shouldn't be one.

Football is there to be enjoyed so enjoy this, now, while it is here.

Haha i'm not quite sure at this stage! Still only 25 so there is slight hope yet ;D

I'm not stuck up or half arsed or even miserable about us. I think we are doing really well this season so far and the more games we win the better our chances are.

13/14 took a fair bit out of me, taught me to relax and take it game by game I guess.

Mags, they're sh*t as well. Watch the replay of their first shot that went over the bar, he remained static and for their goal, he did not jump with their attacker.

Yep and I got the correct score too. :)

Important thing is the 3 points. Means we are 3 points nearer ALL our league targets.

      All good for me.
