Surprising none of us has mentioned Firmino as MOTM, yet he was awarded it by sly sports (Carra?).

That will do very nicely and in a weird way I think Stoke might actually give Chelsea a bit more of a test than they gave us due to how the teams play, well here's hoping anyway. :-)

In any case bring on Citeh, I fancy us winning that game then our B team to kick Moyes team.

Need to keep investing always though, keep the talent we've developed and add to it. Don't tell me Liverpool doesn't generate the money required.

100 league goals for Klopp at Liverpool.

Liverpool have scored 85 league goals in a calendar year - equal with 1989 record (and one more game to play).

Reds reach 40 points after 18 games for only the second time in the Premier League.
      Phenomenal stats that.

Thought Mane was average at best. We know he can play though - just thought he had a 'so - so' game

Still trying to figure out what Wijnaldum brings to the team - Can did more when he came on

Henderson was for the most part lumbering; two good passes though

Studge's goal highlights what worries me about Origi. No way would Origi score that goal. Clever player Studge

Clyne needs to be more creative when he's in the final third

Migs, probably taken by surprise that Walters gets the head in but he needs to be dealing better with it regardless

Milner is never going to be a great player but he's a solid good player and kudos for a right midifielder doing a good left back job for us

Lovren, hit and miss; still coming out for headers he's no right to go for

Klavan was not bad; good bringing the ball out

Firmino, similar to Mane for me. Got his goal, but little else in between

      AND WE STILL WON 4-1!

The scoreline doesn't show it but this was a battling win for us. We dealt well with going a goal down and really controlled things fairly soon after that. Good attacking moves on 3 of the 4 goals and while Sturridge's may have been a Christmas gift, a lot of players still don't manage to unwrap it.

      Saturday is huge.

Apparently his flight tickets were accidentally binned by a tall German cleaning woman with very hairy legs, so he may need to stay with us in January after all.

I didn't know Ellesmere port was classed as Cheshire (he was from there), lost interest there, is that bad?

Yeah it's always been classed as Cheshire mate, there was plans to unify it as part of the borough of Wirral in the early 70's,(the Wirral then being classed as Merseyside) but that was scrapped & it stayed as Cheshire.
Davey hickson was also from there as was the god awful Russ abbot.

Good victory, dug deep at times but found it when we needed it most.

Chuckled when Shawcross passed back - proof that cavemen should not be playing football.

Henderson MOTM for me. Distributed the ball very well and was involved in a good deal of attacks.

Agree with that, he plays a safe pass mostly sideways or back pass and at times can pick a deadly pass, but I wouldn't depend on him to lift our game when we're down.

Shame Moreno couldn't get on the score sheet. He seemed desperate for a goal, and that scissor kick (or whatever it was) was class.

The first  half was worrying enough, I thought we were fu**ed but we turned it around . Wijnaldum wasn't great nor was Milner but Lallana was motm for me .

Definitely wasn't motm for me, apart from the goal he was a pain in the bollocks.
