Mancs & arsenal have shockers of run in's. playing lots of the top teams, which they will probably draw a lot off. so only helps us.

Arsenal away to palace is no gimme, don't be surprised to see a draw in that game, or palace to nick a win. Big ben and mama with the goals. ;D.

Do you think it was Jürgen's master plan to send out agent Sakho to get pts off Arsenal and Spurs?  :D

I'm hoping for 4 wins and 2 draws (at West Brom & West Ham) which would put us at 77. Cant see United going on a winning spree. If Arse draw or lose the next couple of games, that could give us some breathing space

Just saying, I never saw the positive acknowledgements for those players being signed.

We're always quick to complain but it takes us a lifetime to acknowledge something positive regarding the committee and the owners. I'm not in favour of the old committee before somebody starts bitching and moaning at me :D.

Yes but we now have one of the lemons who was part of it as our Sporting Director.

I'm taking this massively off topic here so apologies.

The only fixture that worries me slightly is the Southampton game considering how poorly we've played against them so far this season. The others don't really worry me.

Think we'll get a good idea of just how much of a threat Arsenal will be from their game now.

If this is between us and Man Utd..

16 Apr   Premier League   Chelsea Draw 1 pt
23 Apr   Premier League   Burnley Win 3 pts
27 Apr   Premier League   Manchester City Draw 1 pt
30 Apr   Premier League   Swansea City Win 3 pts

07 May   Premier League   Arsenal Win 3 pts
13 May   Premier League   Tottenham Hotspur Draw 1 pt
21 May   Premier League   Crystal Palace Win 3 pts
TBC           Premier League   Southampton Win 3 pts

Total 18 points. We are 6 ahead now, so reduce that down to 12 points.. and that's how much gain they could have.

That's generous too! I've given them wins against the lesser teams, draws against the big, and even 1 win vs Arsenal.

So, I reckon we need 12 points from our remaining fixtures (18 points). 4 wins...

      Should be enough!

I think that after this weekend this became a battle with City for third place..and when you look at the possible teams the 4th place will have to face in the qualifiers we should aim for that.

Nearly every year, the teams that fail to win/qualify are the teams that drop points against the lower teams. So all the equations are dependent on us winning those four or six or eight or whatever it is games. Even with Arsenal losing today, there are too many matches left to write them off.

We have the most favorable schedule for sure, but this is going to be a white knuckle flight.

Or this could be piss easy considering Manu's run-in, and Arsenal's piss poor form, and they also have to play Spurs at WHL. Next couple of matches should give us a far better picture.

If we don't make it to the top four from here, we're F***ing ridiculously sh*t.

The teams around us all play each other. We have the easiest run in by far. Anything less than 3rd is even a bit of a failure.

Yep, Arsenal have just put a huge nail in their hopes. To me that's them out of it, similar for United, they have to play all 4 of the top teams, they're not winning all those and with Europe to distract them too I hope they'll drop even more.

Having said that I can't see us winning every game but if you had said to me at the start of the season you have to win 4 out of these 6 fixtures to get top 4, considering how many seasons we've spent out of the CL then I'd have taken it. We've put ourselves in a decent position in relative terms, just got to finish the job off now and then have an excellent summer.

Arsenal would have to change everything about themselves at this point to get close to qualifying from here, so it's down to United & City really. City look likely, so United are the one I worry about now. Being that they do have a couple big matches to come, it's pretty simple - keep winning, and they can't catch us.

I'm confident. Not out of the woods yet, but I'm confident.

We don't have to worry about anyone else, they will F**k it up for themselves, gooners are goners for me after last night, they still have to face the MUtants and the Spuds so bye Arsenal and bye Arsene,
MUtants also have Shitty to lose to so looking at their points arrears to ours I believe the Moaneyone is targeting the Europa as their way into CL,
That leaves us and Abu Dhabi United fighting it out for 3rd /4th,

Obviously 3rd would be ideal but I'd settle for 4th right now.

I think we'll piss it tbh!

But we always make our life hard, we will not do it the easy way.  ;D

If we can win our next 2 games then we will be in a solid position.

Their hard games are coming up.  ;)

Love it Billy... always thought they'd fizzle out and in other news - had a nice touch on Palace @ 7/2 last night.

In our hands now. The way it should be. 😎

Wish Palace would have played like that against Southampton, they let me down for £500 :D.

Do any other of the top 6 have Palace before the end of the season?

It's between us and Manchester. If we can win Sunday I think we will make it, would even take a draw. Palace are flying so every game is literally a cup final. Thank F**k couts is back to form. The Manx derby could be shoot out for them, you have to hope Utd do well ineurope and lose the final 8-0

Utd have an absolute brutal schedule coming up from Thursday, 6 games in 17 days inc Chavs, City and Burnley away.

      They are Toast.

The Arse quickly fading away, after another beating at Crystal Palace last night. I wonder how low they may eventually finish, this season.

I wouldn't write Arsenal out just yet. Remember Wenger always manages to get top 4.

Also, we have to win our games and to be they are *not* favourable (as someone mentioned above). If we were playing top 6 for next 6 games then I would say we are in a favourable position.

So, until we qualify mathematically, I am keeping my thoughts to the next game only.
