For some perspective, we have to remember how much modern teams are drilled (and even more so with Jürgen). Players will often pass the ball without looking, towards an area where a teammate is expected to be.
This speeds up the play, but it also means you might end up passing the ball into an empty area and looking like a fool if your teammate doesn't make the expected run.

Yea that's the point I was trying to (clumsily) make. And I could be way off, maybe Robbo is off the boil, but to my eyes he didn't seem all that bad. I've definitely seen him play worse. I feel like those were crosses that he'd make and if Bobby were playing, someone would be in the area so maybe it's just him not really connecting with how Jota plays the position differently.

It's an appalling mess we find ourselves in after international breaks. It's good news that we've got Tsimkas ready to go. I'm not surprised that Robbo pulled his hamstring in this of all matches. You could see how hard Scotland were working. So that's understandable.

What's not forgivable though is morons like Southgate (football genius) mishandling and wrecking out players seemingly every time these breaks occur. Without fail.
