What a fantastic performance both mentally and physically by our team.   One thing I would like to say is what an absolute fantastic signing we got in January in the name VVD.   The pressure we got from the onslaught from City in the first half we really needed his presence as prior to him being with us we would have crumbled.   We have had some very good players emerging Robbo, Taa, Karius, but I can't fail to give him a lot of credit for the whole thing.   Over 2 legs we restricted one of the most attacking teams in Europe to just one goal.   We needed some luck that is always needed by every team on their way to success.

Man of the match for me was Salah.   It wasn't one of his best games but he killed their hopes in one moment, his first moment and with so much attacking talent on the pitch and on their bench it was Mohammed Salah that destroyed their fight in a single moment.

Also I'd like to give a special praise to our midfield as they were clearly against a far superior opposition it was so much day light between the two midfielders, but our men didn't put their heads down and continued to fight for everything even when they had moments and were getting bossed by them,  it was a lot of grit.

What a clever little switch by Mo to get it to Mane. And what a cool finish. And what about the celebration...just how good can this player get...

Talk of Kane getting the golden boot...one of Salah's goals is worth 10 of Kane's....and I have never seen Salah dive...

Fantastic victory over two legs which was built on a new found defensive resilience. Lovren my motm tonight, he was an absolute rock at the back in both games. But there were so many others. VVD didn't let the early mistake rock him and led the back four brilliantly, both full backs superb again, Milner was a beast and Ox again showed his toughness, resilience and work rate. And that finish from Salah!? It doesn't get any better than that. Just incredible to be in a European Cup again!!!!! Proud to be a Red!

Nor try to take away his teammate's goal while swearing on his own daughter's life.

Went for TAA again for motm, really because of his age. Some of the other contenders, you almost expect it from them due to their experience, but once again, Trent had sane pretty well wrapped up, and when it got tough, he got tougher. He’s a star in the making and our r back for many years to come I think. Well done  lad.

Definitely picked it up in the 2nd half and what a win. Perfect cool finishes from Salah and Firmino.

      Delighted.

Not quite sure I'm buying the Lovren votes in the MOTM.  Did well, but gave away two needless free kicks and blind headed a ball on to our post.

We had about 20 corners to contend with and you'd be hard pushed to say that VVD wasn't the man who stopped us folding after that early goal.

Having said that, another shout out to our keeper.  Honestly believe that with Mignolet in goal something gets fu**ed up there - either a sh*t kick out or a flap at a corner.  Only minor error I could point at Karius tonight is that he should have tried to angle his punch to the corner of the area - but that's a minor thing because I can guarantee Mignolet wouldn't have even got a glove on it.

In fact, it's the only thing I can really criticise Klopp for in his time with us - standing by our former goalkeeper for about 2 years past his expiry date.

All minor points, but needed saying!
