Doesn’t make sense fella, Virgil for me won’t be here too much longer imo, perhaps two three seasons max, Robbo similar, so it makes absolute sense to give it to Trent for he won’t play anywhere else , he’s young enough and experienced enough now to carry us thru the next ten years,

Absolutely no brainer for me, he’s Scouse, he virtually bleeds Liverpool Red and no one will have more passion than him, it’s in his DNA , and will know exactly what it means wearing that armband !!!

Does it matter who is captain? We regularly have 3 or 4 different players wearing the armband in the same game. All of them are well capable of doing the job.

If being Scouse is part of the criteria, Curtis must be relishing it. We've had all sorts of nationalities doing it. We haven't had a Scouser as the main captain since 2015, and I don't think we've done too badly without one since.

Konate is one to look out for this later down the line. This kids energy is infectious and he's always talking how amazing the club and the supporters are and how it's a dream come true. Love that we have youngsters like him and Elliot here. Both seem to love the club

What do you think he's thinking Aussie? I think Mo would be pleased for Virgil, my own personal opinion is that a forward player is never good to have as a Captain as all the play is behind them, a defender can see the play in front of them, if you know what I mean.

Yea, Although id be surprised if there is a specific order after Virg & Trent, will depend on the who's on the park on the day. suppose. ?

I know what your saying and I'm sure he did think why not me, Mo is a true professional and if he takes the armband in any game he plays  I'm certain he will do a sterling job.
We've got some fantastic players in the line up.

I dont think Mo or anyone else in the squad will disagree with klopp's picks.

Always better to have a defender or central MF as captain anyway. They see more of the pitch.

I wouldn't blame him if he was disappointed by it. He was certainly my choice. I think he's more than earned it over the last 6 years.
