      Kun Aguero = World Class

      Andy Carroll = A player for the future.

      Spot the difference?

      Yeah

      Aguero = City's player

      Carroll = our player

      Aguero is a better player than Carroll. Don't think you will find a Liverpool fan on the planet to dispute that.

      Now whats left to discuss? Hindsight is an amazing thing, giving it the old "Shoulda, woulda, coulda" is all well and good, but I would of put my house on us not signing Aguero even if we hadn't spent the £35 million on Carroll. Not to mention their simply not comparable financially based on the fact Aguero will cost City £30 million more in wages over the next 5 years than Carroll will cost us.

      They are very good actually, and would function very well together at club level. Playing for the national team is completely different, especially in recent times for Argentina.

      They have changed 3 managers over the last 3 years (Basile, Maradona, Batista), and none of them has managed to get Messi, Tevez and Aguero playing well together ... One of these days, the football public will have to accept the simple fact that those 3 don't work well together ...

      Seems I misunderstood you, I thought you were comparing Tevez and Messi to Aguero and Suarez, as couples. Letting 3 forwards gel is more complicated than 2. But still, I think there's alot to say about it. Like I said, for me club level and national team level are completely different. I think for a national team to function there needs to be stability and a certain direction over a longer period. Something Argentina obviously has lacked. National team players don't play together regularly, so they need time to get used to a formation and the position they play in and other players they play with. Argentina's management has been a mess. Maradonna especially was abysmal. And they haven't just had issues in the forward line, during the World Cup their midfield was the main problem.

      But anyway, I think two of any of those strikers will not have any issues performing together at all at club level, the formation and team would just need to be adjusted to make it function.

      Any one that had seen him play knew how good he was. But if spend 38million euro on a player he should be a guaranteed success and he was always going to be that had

      Bought him in FIFA for 30 Million ;) Himself, Torres and Suarez are immense. Ah well City have taken my two favourite players outside of LFC, Silva being the other one.

      Well it would be a first so maybe you're right...  :f_tongueincheek:

      Top player though, looks to be bedding in a lot faster than I thought. I thought City would struggle a bit if Tevez wasn't willing/able to play but Mancini appears to have Dzeko ticking properly and Aguero reacting to the Prem fast.

      Lets be honest he has been looking like becoming a top player for years and now he has a platform to do it. Its hardly a secret he was going to be top class.

      I wanted us to sign him before he went to A.Madrid, but I can't believe how quickly he has settled. I really expected him to struggle this season (hopefully he still might) but it looks as though he is going to emulate Torres first season rather than Morientes.

      He's doing alright considering he isn't premiership proven.

      Wonder how he will cope at a cold December night at the Britania though?
