Trump's appearance did not inspire confidence, he looked concerned and on edge from the word go, Jones on the other hand was a picture of confidence throughout.
Trump was missing long shots that he is famous for putting away and his opponent to full advantage.
Aye mate, was poor from the get-go but managed to keep hold of Jones up until that final session. He was just making far too many mistakes at that point. An easy pink into bottom pocket, overcutting the yellow into the top pocket, going for pots that he couldn't actually get to the potting angle of. Just looked a shell of himself. Poor way to end what has been a great season for him.
But as I said earlier, take nothing away from Jones. He was boss in how he held himself together. As bad as Judd was, Jones still had to pot the balls himself and he did. If he can win the semi against either O'Sullivan or Bingham, he'll end the season in the top 16 which is F***ing remarkable for a fella who's done nothing all season until now. This was only his fourth ranking quarter final of his career, one of which was at last year's Worlds. Obviously has a liking for the Crucible. Test for him, regardless of how he does in this tournament from now on, is becoming a lot more consistent in all tournaments because that will open doors to all other possibilities.
