      If man city draw with villa and spurs i think were second favourites behind spurs  providing we win our last two game

      Its well out of our reach i feel but strange things have happened in football so who knows. Its difficult to be optimistic when we've performed so poorly all season. Spurs are in pole position and i think they will end up finishing 4th. Whether Rafa stays or goes im confident Liverpool Fc will bounce back next season.

      For me if the key match is Spurs v Bolton. If they drop points it really is up in the air. Bring on the draws.

      Its not impossible and I am starting to think this could happen but the closer it gets its just going to fall apart, with manshity and spurs winning more games.

      Classic.  So we've got to win both and then rely on 6 draws.

      I think we'll call it a No then. ;)

      The key game is Spurs vrs Bolton & City Vrs Villa

      If Spurs do not win this then its game on, they will lose at City and then beat Burnley

      City will draw with Villa, beat Spurs and then will sh*t themselves at West Ham who always try to spoil a party

      Villa draw at City and Beat Blackburn

      WE WIN BOTH GAMES, ALL OF US FINISH ON 68 Points and we have the best GD!!!!

      I agree we've got no F***ing chance, Fulham at home shitty 1-0 and we would have been in so much a better position.

      Well actually our superior goal difference means that:

      - villa and man city need to draw;
      - spurs need to lose bolton or burnley;
      - man city and spurs need to draw;
      - we win all our games;
      - we get fourth spot

      It could well happen...

      So, here's the perfect scenario(from the current position): We finish 4th and Chelsea win the league.

      But with us playing chelsea next week, and them having only a 1 point lead over Man U, it looks very unlikely that both of those things could happen.

      Here's the fixtures we'll need to go our way:

      Chelsea lose to us, and beat Wigan. They finish on 83 points and win the league.

      Man Utd don't win both their remaining games against Sunderland and Stoke. They finish with 83 points or less (Inferior GD to Chelsea)

      We beat Chelsea and then beat Hull by 2 or 3 or 4 goals. We finish on 68 pts and improve our GD to 31-33

      Tottenham draw with City and take 3 or less points from Bolton and Burnley. (GD would still stay below ours)

      City draw with Spurs and Villa. Even a win of 3+  against West Ham would keep them behind us on GD.

      Villa draw with City. Even if they beat Blackburn handomely, they'd finish on the same points as us but with a much lower GD.

      So, only a few games have to go our way :laugh:

      But none of those events seem that far fetched- just all of them happening in exactly that way seems extremely unlikely.

      We'll have a good idea what's going to happen when Spurs and City play each other next midweek.

      You heard it here first ;)

      Nice post Ally. I think that's the main point right there however.

      Wonder how much money you'd get on that in an accumulator!!

      United will beat Steve Bruce's boys and will easily trounce Stoke.

      If we take anything off Chelsea then United will win the league.

      Back to 4th though, and we're too far behind.  I'd imagine the results on Saturday will effectively confirm it.

      I was thinking that too :laugh:

      It's a strange situation going into the game against Chelsea, not knowing what we want the outcome to be.
      If we win, ^ the above could all still happpen. But, it might be the game that costs Chelsea the league and gifts it to Man U. Would have been more ideal if that was the last game of the season :-\

      For some reason I think united will draw with stoke and it will go to the final game of the season to decide the champions and 4th spot.

      No. I think  we will finish outside the Champions Quadrant and will finish in slot 5.

      BUT the good news is Chelsea will sneak the PL and Manchester will not beat our record AND we will (hopefully) win a European trophy this season.

      I remember when we won 5 trophies in one season we sneaked 4th then thanks to brilliance  from Gary Mc so you never know we could sneak 4th, win the European trophy and  then the Super Cup.

      Exciting end to the season

      You never know. Ngog is always improving and I never criticise him because he isa youngster who is not experienced BUT is always improving and trying hard for the cause.

      I hope he does it for us so it boosts his confidence. This player only needs confidence and he will be a goal machine.

      If we do snatch 4th, I'd be ;D-ing at all those who laughed at us, saying we are not going to qualify for Europe.

      It was never over, just unlikely and it's not impossible.

      Arrie, you know you're going to have to put money on those results now. Imagine how gutted you'd be if all of those came in after you'd predicted them, on here? The odds would be HUGE.
