Was hoping for some debate on Coady, but now realise that had normally been with Corbs.
Anyway.
Another solid performance from Coady last night.
That's the thing about Conor. He very rarely has a bad game.
Alex Inglethorpe even said it. He never gives you a performance less than 7. "He's a machine".
When we were discussing our midfield problems at youth level I suggested it was more about the dynamic
created by a pairing of Coady and Roddan. I defended Coady at the time and lately I think we have seen
a change in dynamic and can appreciate what Coady brings to the team, protection of the back four and a
solid/dependable platform for the rest of the team to build from.
Pelosi and Adorjan were given freedom to get at Inter Milan and we have seen Lussey and Dunn given the same.
While we look at the spectacular, Sterling, Suso, Ibe, Sinclair, Dunn, we also need to appreciate the development
of our Youth Captain. He seems ideal for Alex Inglethorpe's change of system, in line with the first team.
Significant too, and slightly off topic, is that we have now seen the youth team move away from Rafa's 4-2-3-1 for
the very first time as it links up with the first teams 4-3-3, as it should.
