Would love it, but can't see it happening, to be honest.

Really can't see it happening, but I'd have him here in a heartbeat.

Think, may be wrong, but it was Nicky Barmby and a great job he did too.

      Either Barmby or Abel Xavier.

Think it may have been Xavier.

He's one of Everton's most important players. There would be murder if he was sold to us.

He'd have to live over the water with us woolybacks. But mind you, there's tons of Scousers here too! ;)

I can't see this happening, though I'd love it if it came to materialise! We'll just have to see how it goes after we sign Downing, obviously our next targets are for our LB slot.

I'd take him over Enrique any day of the week. Plus he's a Red!

It would be absolutely hilarious if we signed him off Everton! As much as I'd love it, I can't quite see it happening. I wouldn't rule it out like, just don't want to think about it unless something actually happens.

And even though Everton don't want him to leave, especially not to us, I think they could actually benefit hugely from selling him. If they got something in the region of £20-25M, they could use that to sign someone. As it is, they're not signing anybody. Full backs aren't too hard to replace. This season, we've seen 2 brilliant young lads come through from the academy who I'm pretty certain will be a big part of our future starting team.

We can always offer them Konchesky, Poulsen + £10m, we get a quality LB, they get a replacement championship level LB and a Danish Blue Cheesy Midfielder, and £10m they can spend in the winter tranfer window in preparation for a return to the prem in the 2012/2013 season, FF'S what more do they want !!   ;D  xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

When it comes to a quality player like Baines, do you really want to be so petty about signing him because he plays for everton?

Its not petty, when it comes to rival clubs, i dont think players should go to them.

Its just MO.  If Baines did come to us, i wouldnt complain of course not.  I just dont like the idea for Everton making money from us and the abuse (and lets face it, possible death threats) the player will get.

We should of bought him in the first place.. We knew he had potential and was a liverpool fan. Would be a sad pathetic bunch of fans who would take rivalry to death threats level, but unfortunately i have little faith in mankind. Quality player and a fan get him in i say, pay up to 20million no more though.

He's a blue mate. I don't even know where this idea he was a red even came from.

      As a boy I supported...
Liverpool. As a local lad I used to watch from the Kop when Robbie Fowler was making his name. I started out at Liverpool's Centre of Excellence and although it was disappointing when nothing came of it, I was lucky that both Wigan and Wolves wanted to sign me.

He plays for Everton, ofcourse he's going to want that rumour to spread.

But he is a Liverpool fan. I remember reading that fourfourtwo magazine a few years ago and he said he was a red.

Would love Baines here. However, I just cannot see them selling to us at anything like a reasonable price.

I think he could do better than them though.

Probably won't happen, due to the relations between the clubs ... Otherwise, he would be a perfect option at LB for us ...

Aly Cissokho could turn out to be better suited to us though, we don't really need Baines' free kicks and penalties which would no doubt add to his price as well as Cissokho being younger

Scored a crackin' free kick today apparently.

Pens and free-kicks aside, he is one of the best LB's in the country, getting most crosses in last year and he is solid defensively. Everton need money in if they want to spend, we should test their resolve.
