      4-0

Chelsea after the FA Cup Final.
      4-1.

How about Chelsea at Anfield on the 6th of May 2012,we won 4-1  then there was Brighton in the 5th round of the F.A. Cup we won 6-1 .And according to my records in The Chelsea match Downing missed a penalty so it could of been 5-1.

I'd look to be playing Allen a lot whilst we adapt to the new style of play, I'd give Andy a chance too but I can see him being left out as the window shuts so soon after the match.

Reina; McLaughlin, Coates, Skrtel, Enrique; Allen, Henderson, Shelvey; Downing, Carroll, Borini.

Sterling will probably be starting against Arsenal so we shouldn't risk overplaying him this early in the season.

My final ever post on here, as I expect us to get pumped out the competition on Thursday, but I would say that if you play the same team as last week it could be tight again.  Having witnessed Charlie Adam at close quarters for years when he was at Rangers, he's never been up to much IMO.  Mind you he's still miles better than anything we have.  We'll rely on spirit and hard running again and maybe try to nick a goal through a set piece or penalty.  One from open play seems unlikely to me.

You've probably never heard of most of them but Hearts team will be:

      Jamie MacDonald
      Ryan McGowan
      Danny Grainger
      Andy Webster
      Maruis Zaliukas
      Darren Barr
      Medhi Taouill
      Callum Paterson
      David Templeton
      Andy Driver
John "Nowhere near as good as Chris" Sutton

Good luck lads and lassies!  Hope for another good atmosphere.  I for one will be supporting the Reds in the groups

The first leg reminded me of Gomel, and hopefully the second leg will too.

                       Reina
      Kelly  Carra   Agger   Enrique
               Adam   Allen
      Hendo   Shelvey     Borini
                    Carroll

Is what I think it will be. Rodgers said that Carroll was supposed to start the last leg, so I can see him getting the start here. One last game for Adam before he goes, or perhaps not if a transfer is being lined up. I would imagine Downign would play then, with Hendo tucking in to the middle instead.

      Comfortable victory, hopefully!

Cheers mate, are you coming down for the game? Did I see that you got a 0-0 at Aberdeen at the weekend? Good luck for the game anyway, I don't think it will be a walkover, Hearts played very well in the first leg and personally I thought a 1-1 draw would have been a fair result, mind you I think we'll win by 2-0 but I'm sure the players and fans will enjoy the experience.

All the best for the rest of the season.

      Hendo

      Downing

Kev, the Agger ban was just the one game and only for the league mate.

Wait, is this game on Wednesday or Thursday? I know I saw it advertised for ESPN for Ireland and the UK I dunno what day, this week has been a write off for various reasons.

      Reina

      Flanno Coates Carragher Robinson

      Spearing
      Shelvey Adam Allen

      Downing Carroll ?

Not sure on the other winger. Wouldnt start Sterling, give him a break after 2 exhausting games for him.

I know it was for only the league. If he was banned for 3 games I'd guarantee he'd start here, but if he's fit for Arsenal I'd imagine Coates takes the other CB spot vs. Hearts.

I thought his red was a straight red anyway? Does anyone know for sure?

It would be wise to play Coates in this match I believe.

Be interesting to see if Sterling starts or will the boss rest him for Arsenal? Expect to see the likes of Adam, Hendo and Spearing start (if still here).

Im going for a 2-0 win, Carroll both goals.

The Kop will have to be in good voice to compete with the Hearts fans!!

I'm looking forward to this but I think we need to be ruthless here. We were lucky to get the 1 goal lead coming into this match. And 1 goal isn't much, we've conceded 5 league goals in 2 matches, one cracker of a goal and then 4 pretty bad defensive errors.

Hearts know they need to score here. Their backs are against the wall and they have to come out fighting. They are going to go for it. One more error in defense and it opens it all up again. We need to be clinical in both ends of the field, defend smartly and strongly, and up the other end if we get half a chance we need to stick it in the back of the net. We've created a lot of chances for ourselves but now we need to take them.

      With one eye on Arsenal I'd go for;

                                       Reina

      Kelly              Coates           Carragher      Robinson

                                       Adam
                           Shelvey         Henderson

      Downing                                                          Suarez
                                     Carroll

Subs: Jones, Agger, Flanagan, Gerrard, Suso, Borini, Morgan

Do the hard work in the first 45 mins, get a goal or two and keep a clean sheet, then in the second half give Suso and Morgan a run out.

I'm going for 2-0, Shelvey and Carroll with the goals.

I think/hope the team will be:

                     Pepe
      Kelly  Carra  Agger  Robo
              Hendo  Adam
      Downing  Shelvey  Assaidi
                    Morgan

Rodgers thinks very highly of Morgan, and I think he will give him the start in this game.  I think this team is still more than capable of winning the game, especially at Anfield!!

I think Rodgers will be more concerned with the game against Arsenal at the weekend, and will be looking to rest the starting 11 for that game, which IMO will be:  Reina; Johno, Coates, Skrtel, Enrique; Sahin, Allen, Gerrard; Borini, Suarez, Sterling
