Knew we would score 5.  :f_whistle:

Bit over optimistic about our defence though.

      I've heard the hype...

He's world class, he was a defender...

Yet we look worse defensively than ever.

Seriously, worse than ever? You not watch the 13/14 season?

Celebrations are a bit OTT you would have thought we have won the CL.

Sorry mate for the gesture, I will hold my hand up and apologise.

But I think that we have the right to celebrate this win.

will give Firmino MotM only coz he got 2 goals

if Ibe was still on the pitch we would never of won this, like it has been said before we would need to play with 2 balls one for Ibe and the other for the rest of the team

How dare you celebrate the most unlikely of wins. Keep yourself in check boy.

Yes, who would have thought, beating Norwich is an unlikely win.

Don't know whether to laugh or cry after that.

How we managed to win, never mind score 5 goals, playing that badly I dont know.
I think it was cos we finally met a team whose defending is even more suicidal than our own. Plus our finishing was strangely good on a day when the rest of our game was really dire.

      Player ratings:

Mignolet - 6.  Let in 4 goals without doing much wrong. Massively exposed by his defenders.

Sakho - 3.  I like him, but shocking for their 1st goal. Got to attack the ball Momo ffs!

Toure - 5.  Not as bad as Sakho.

Clyne - 5.  Didnt do too much wrong. But didnt do much.

Moreno - 0.  What can you say? He has so many defensive brain farts he makes Glen Johnson look like Paolo Maldini. I think that one today takes the biscuit though. Ref lets him away with the first foul - " No! I WILL concede a penalty here! There you go!" Just an idiot. Thank F**k we have Flanno coming back. We give away so many chances in that channel between left back and CB and a lot of it is down Moreno's defensive stupidity.

Hendo - 5. Took his goal well, but struggled overall.

Milner - 6. See Hendo. Was a bit better 2nd half.

Can - 4. Mental slowness is an issue for him and it showed today. At fault for 2nd goal, just let the runner go.

Lucas - 4. Sluggish, couldnt get hold of the game.  Also I think at fault for 2nd goal, like Can - letting the runner go.

Ibe - 4. Offered almost nothing.

Firmino - 8. Struggled to get in the game, mainly cos he had no service, but took both his goals very well.

Lallana - 9. Turned the balance of the game, by actually being prepared to run past defenders ( something I dont think Ibe had done once).  Great work to set up the 3rd goal. As one of the few on here who actually rate him, delighted to see him be the one to get the winner. MOTM.

Benteke - 6. Should have come on sooner I thought. Didnt have a lot of time but had 4 or 5 nice touches to play in teammates.

Caulker - 2. Brought on to help us see out the win, failed to jump for their 4th goal. Welcome to our defence Steven, you'll fit right in.

Going to give M.O.T.M. to Lallana. I have been more than a little critical of him the last few weeks and today he changed the game and won the match.

Come on guys, a few might look at that game critically, but there's no need for the abuse. We're all different and we'll all cast a critical eye over it soon enough.

Personally I couldn't even begin to pick that game apart. I think we just made a movie to rival "Escape to Victory."

Not going to debate your player grades but Ibe got past his defender a few times in the first half.

A bit harsh there were two guys in front of him trying to jump for the header so he positioned to block the passing lane, don't see how you can blame him for that. Unless, you are saying that by now he should realize that the rest of the defenders are bottlers

:couch: I think Can had very decent last quarter, and played a part an important part in our 4th and 5th.

I think we all had a good last quarter/third of the match. Sakho probably should have cleared his lines and won the aerial ball that led to Bassong's late equaliser. Apart from that Sakho was quite dominant. Strange game - in my opinion complicit in at least two goals yet was the one man challenging successfully throughout.

There was a period from from when they scored the penalty at 3-1 when we thought 'f**k this ' grabbed the bull by the horns and didn't allow ourselves to overthink things. We just acted on instinct and because of that we scored 4 goals, allowing aggression, adrenaline and certainty to flow seemlessly without the barrier of doubt blocking our play. It's all in the mind.
