Yes it was pretty clear after the replay from the other side, I wasn't sure what the ref was pointing to the penalty mark for when he blew his whistle to be honest

Hands above your head is a choice therefore implies intent, when the ball travels 50 yards you have time to react and position yourself, there was no deflection.
