Yep, we sold Luis far too cheaply, i'm hoping to f**k that FSG don't buckle and sell for less than £100m, he still has his best years ahead of him

Considering where prices have gone this year on transfers I don't think you need worry about FSG buckling.

Hell Mane would be a £90,000,000 player this year.

It is, but then again you don't come up with conspiracy theories based on rumors as a stick to beat the owners with because of their total bias against them.

If Coutinho wants to leave, we shouldn't accept less than 200m or 150m. Skysports are saying Barca are confident but then we aren't in any pressure to sell Coutinho or do we need to as Klopp has said numerous times he won't sell his best players

Say that he was going, full-stop. Nothing we could do about it. Who out of Barca's current players would you take in part exchange?

Not saying at all I would be ok with him leaving, mind you. Just curious.

If someone said we could swap Coutinho for Suarez right now I'd personally pick him up and escort him to Barcelona tonight... With my own money.

Trust me Steve, FSG are currently factoring your offer into the deal.

After the way this window is going, what and who are we really going to spend 100 mil on for eg? It doesn't manifest into transfers the way we'd like enough for me to say Couts can go for any price.

People talk about not letting him go then in the same breath say "only if its for silly money" but then what? These same type windows.? ;D

Why though? They couldnt wait to get rid of Suarez because of the bad PR from the biting.

Unfortunately it comes down to the player.  Now i don't want big Phil to go, who would!! But if he wants to there is no point in keeping an unhappy player. If the worst came to the worst we should hold out for some absolutely ridiculous offer of £120 mill or a swap with Messi & Suarez coming the other way.

Come on Phil, you are expected to win the league with barca, but win it here and you would go down in folk lore!!

       :kop5cf8koxp6: :celebrate:
Winning the league with Barcelona is not that much of an achievement. It is like winning on command and conquer with a money cheat turned on.

Look how quickly you leap to FSG's defense, even to the extent of trying to trash the previous owners in a vain attempt to rally people to FSG's Cause it Just proving my point for me...

You better start a sink fund for all the shirts you plan to buy and notify us in advance  ;)
Well I can only take credit for Fowler (to Leeds) Suarez (to Barca) and Ince (to wherever he ended up)

Coutinho has said nothing and Liverpool's stance on not selling has not changed. Papers desperate to print stories and the gullible get paranoid.

Actually I was leaping to Arab's defense as you quickly labeled him a spin doctor because he disagrees with your views; as far as the previous owners they don't need my help in trashing them...they did it quite well themselves...but props to you for sticking up and supporting H&G!

Sorry AZ only looked quickly at the name and thought it was the Arabs post.... :f_doh: Me bad ...

OK let deal with this coming from you and you defending Arab....

I make no excuses for H&G, nor have I ever, I have only ever said in relation to H&G that (a) money wise they have backed their manager better ie. Given Rafa the money he wanted, and be that FSG may not be the knights in shinning Armour peopole hoped for... Now if you call that supporting the previous owner then guilt as charge  xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

I'll disagree here with that bit in bold, like when we finished 2nd in 2009 and Rafa was told by the snake in cuban heels that our total transfer fund including wages was going to be around £3 million!! So no those two pair of pricks didn't always back the manager.

If you compere like for like spending over the pass 7 years (and bare in mind there was less TV money back then) who supported the manager more with transfer funds...

And that's why we were forced to buy players from teams who still owed us money.

As I said those pair of pricks didn't really back the manager, seeing as most of our best players around that time were bought before they actually arrived ;)

Say what you like and I'm not defending this lot, but they've actually supported their managers more than those two wankers.

Go like for like with the players we've bought, we've got better players under FSG than we did under H & G. Fact as Rafa might say!!

Really Mascherano,Torres,Lucas,Johnson Benayoun,Maxi, They were all Rafa buys and some would argue some of our best players... All I am saying is that we deserve better than both FSG and H&G
