LFC Reds Prediction League 2023/24

PREDICTION LEAGUE 2023-24  (Season 17!)

Last season wasn't great for the reds, it was for higgy_sham who is our new reigning champion - and the first forum user to win it for a 2nd time.   But one of us will dislodge him, won't we??

There are a maximum of 7 points available per fixture.

Who will be the LFC Reds Manager of the Year for 2023/24?

The points system (There are a maximum of 7 points available for a perfect prediction)

1 point for correct home score
1 point for correct away score
1 point for correct difference between scores (e.g you predict 1-0 and it ends up 2-1)
3 points for correct match result
1 point bonus for all correct

Prizes

A potential £275 is available in prizes this year.

1. The overall Manager of the Year will win £125 and at least 12 months total respect from the rest of the forum.

2. If Liverpool win one of the three cup competitions entered next season all predictions for that competition alone will also be calculated and the cup competition winner will receive an extra £50 per cup competition.  A Premier League only prize, will only be awarded if a) we win the league and b) we haven't won any other cup competition.

Every forum member can play along but only members who have donated or subscribed to the forum will be eligible for the cash prizes.  The Manager of the Year is the highest placed subscriber.

To be eligible for the Manager of the Year prize and competitions you must be a subscriber by the 29th October 2023 through to the final game of the season.

Simple Rules

We include all competitive fixtures.  We try to have a months worth of predictions available at all times but the potential for cup replays etc can affect this. You can predict up to an hour before kick off, but at times this may be limited to 2 hours before kick off. 

Don't leave it too late to enter your predictions.

Rules: Forum staff will not accept any predictions via PM.  It is your responsibility to enter your predictions in plenty of time.  The link to the Prediction League is always at the top of this thread and from the 'LFC+' menu at the top of the forum.  Only forum subscribers as stated above are eligible for the cash prizes.  Match scoreline is at the end of normal time or at the end of extra time if played. In the event of two players on the same points, the number of perfect predictions decides.  Goal difference (difference between goals you predict v actual goals scored) are not used to separate players.  The forum administrator's decision is final.

Feels weird being 2nd, I'm usually cooking in League 2 until end of season when I jump to Championship

I had 1-1 prediction and I never felt so happy when  Nunez's goal proved me wrong.

1st perfect for me for the new season...up and running.

I just had a weird feeling all through that game, that we would get two late goals to win it. Posted that through the game as well. Got a perfect to go with it.
Was really calm all game, When Nunez hit the first I got a bit noisy, but when he slammed the second in,  my missus said I think most of the street thought there was some sort of emergency in our house.

Has to be one of the best results I’ve witnessed in 67 years of watching the reds.

Predicted a 3  0 win for the Reds against Aston Villa earlier today. Incredibly giving me 3 perfects on the bounce ! More importantly another win, giving the team 3 wins on the trot.

Had 4-2 to the reds, I would have thought 4 points would have at least moved me up a place but no - down one!  Brutal!

I won it season 15/16 when we were half decent and inconsistent so now since Klopp took over, it is more difficult because must of us will have the same result.
