True. But still along way from the young lad who broke in to the team and looked like he was going to be unstoppable

Negative is acceptable once you back yourselves up especially after a win dont go awol. But to not appear again until a bad day makes you a right wa**ker

Well done lads! Not a brilliant performance by any stretch of the imagination, but a good team performance. As well as Kyrgiakos played, my memory of that game will be that run from the halfway line by Mascherano and that thirty yard cross field ball right onto Gerrard's big toe! F***ing awesome. Working tonight, so i'll post my analysis in greater detail tomorrow, well done again, bring on the Bitters!

Well done again lads  :) The fourth spot is looking better by the week :). We need the best teams in the Champions league from England  :)

You big 'ol F***ing suck-up keith ;) Is right though :D

Well i didn't get to see the match, but from what i hear lets break out the champers, Stevie G is back! Best thing ive heard in this thread, apart from the scoreline, is that. Its what we need, our captain back at his bleeding-for-Liverpool best.

The big hairy greek b***ard (easier to say that than spell it) is starting to really show what Rafa saw in him, and for 1.5m is a F***ing bargain too, again an example of what Rafa tries to do when he is forced into bargain binning it rather than being able to go for premium. Good few weeks for the big hairy c**t.

Kuyt, another goal. It's what we need from him when he is being trusted in the front man role, and although he may not have the skills the amount he just runs is always gonna give him chances. Fair play to the lad!

And Maxi had a promising run out did he? Really looking forward to seeing him play a bit more.

All in all im a happy little chappy this mornin'!

The vultures were hovering but reports of LFC's death have been greatly exaggerated, not the first time this club has confounded expectations and it certainly won't be the last.

why is Ngog on for MOTM(couldn't even control the ball today) & who voted for him,on a positive side we finally looked like we could play as a team in the second half,i'm glad we got that second goal or Rafa would have been slated for taking off Aquilani and putting on the prolific creative midfielder that is Lucas(how did he miss with that header from all of 2 yards),3 points well done lads but the true tests lie ahead in the coming weeks.

A lot better, indeed. I just think the middle sector did their job very well and that made us play some nice football.
Players who got a + today: Kyrgiakos, Aqua, Kuyt, Stevie (mostly 2nd half), Insua (not because of the goal, he played well)
On the opposite pole: Ngog (sorry mate, you're not doing so well), Skrtel.

Maxi played quite alright, also. He just needs more time.

      I love it.
      Quote from: Rafa
"I am pleased with the result and the second half but not too happy with the first half - but at the end of the day we needed to win and we won.

"In the first half they had two chances and we were a little lucky but in the second half it was different and we could have scored more goals.

"I think we are improving. Clearly you can see the team is working hard."

Best performance I've seen for eons and first time I've heard Rafa (for a while) rip the team (for the first half).

He cracks me up that guy. ;)

Voted for the big greek for motm. Only heard it on 5 live with sh*te comentators but he  seemed to be equal to every thing they could chuck at us. Especially in the air. Looks to be settling in well now. Sounded like Stevie G never got a lot of room or time being man marked but sounded bang on form for the last 20 mins. Also sounded like Insua struggled at times but all in all a great result and 3 points. Goals a bit scrappy but followed bouts of extended pressure. Thought they said Bolton had a coulple of early chances so will need to tighten up next   time out. Timely win, well deserved overall and  getting better.

      You know the score ayrton.

Win and play reasonably well and nobody wants to discuss it.

The proof that JD is into masochism! :D

Much as it helps define many people's stance on the club, and some for the worse unfortunately, I prefer the calm after a nice win personally.

You'll be able to shut the forum when we get fourth spot back, it'll be so quiet! ;)

well played today. Kyrgiakos has  made a difference in the last few games as has Masch. Great to see Stevie show
signs of a return to form. In the end I felt sorry for Ngog, was harder to hit the ball with the underside of his foot
than score, my 2 yr old would have swung a leg at it and scored. Ultimately I don't think he is a natural finisher and
he is expected to lead the line for us at a young age when he clearly ain't the finshed article (will he ever be?). But he
keeps going and does his best.
