      Babel vs Walcott vs Nani
      Feb 08, 2010 01:57:42 am
I have been thinking about this for weeks.

they have a lot of similiarities.

      1) Still young and with potential.

      2) Can be brilliant in one game but be extremely frustrating in other matches.

      3) Not playing regularly for their clubs. (It seems Nani has start to feature more for the Mancs)'

      4) Brought in for a lot of money.

      5) Play in wide areas.

      My question is this.

      1) Which of this player has been good enough to justify his price tag?

      2) Who is the best now?

      3) Who do u think is going to be the better player in the future?

I don't think Walcott belongs in this thread, he's just 20, he still has time. Remember when Babel just came to Liverpool, that's the age Walcott is at now, but Walcott has alot more top flight experience already. And he's also had some injury issues. Babel and Nani however, time is running out for them, they're both 23, they'll have to start performing soon. Inconsistency is normal for younger players, but Babel and Nani are getting to an age where they should start performing at a more constant level. I think thus far Babel has been the most inconsistent, while physically he has more talent than both of them probably, he just doesn't seem to have the right mentality.

Out of the 3 players I think I would have to say Walcott has done the most to justify his price tag. Though Theo is the cheapest out of the 3 I still dont think he has justified his price tag, he just seems to have produced more and have done it more regularly. Babel and Nani also seem to lack the will power to graft for the team, they never really give much effort, if they lose the ball they don't go and try and win it back.

Nani has started playing consistently for United lately,he's really starting to excel. Babel doesn't get enough games to prove what he is surely capable of. Therefore I think it's impossible to weigh these three up,as Walcott hasn't set the world alight consistently either.

I think Babel is just as,if not more capable than Nani. Nani's out ahead of him at the moment though,'cause his gaffer is starting to show faith in him.

      Walcott > Nani >>>>>>>>> Babel.

Babel is terrible. I saw Walcott last night and he played like Babel usually does and thats after 4 or so injuries in a short period of time and no match practice.

Nani has a bit about him but nothing special.

I think Walcott will develop in to a good player.

Walcott, I say would be the best among them three but Nani has seem to be pretty consistent the last few games.

Walcott has suffered with injuries so you comparison is unfair. His speed and attitude far outsrip the other pair

All Arsenal fans hate Walcott, they say he's lazy and think Babel is 10x better.

I really cant pick between them, I'd say Babel because he pulls off a wonder goal every 6 months. :P

Walcott for me. His pace is explosive and theres no doubt for me that he's going to be one hell of a player. Hes a striker though so id love to see him play at the top instead of on the right. He also has the right attitude. Never see him in the paper for bad reasons and he isn't one to moan or sulk either. Hes just overall a good lad IMO, id love him at LFC.

Walcott loves Liverpool. Babel loves Arsenal. Both the same players so let's swap! :D

I just watched the last 20 minutes of the everton game, I think Babel controlled the ball once, the rest of the time he messed it up.

At least Walcott has a first touch.

Nani has always been the more prodigious talent and it's just been a case of him maturing. With Ferguson's record of nurturing top players it's no suprise. Walcott is also a better player but might lack the smarts. Babel is not in the same league and never has been.

its a very good thread cos they really are very similar. but IMO there is only one answer. Walcott is head and shoulders above the other pair(not literally). if he didnt have so many injuries in the last 2 years he would be a regular in the england X1. i wouldnt have nani or babel anywhere near the premier league. im sure if they went somewhere like germany or holland, they would excel but they are not cut out for the physical end of things

Don't rate any of them to be honest but if I was pushed to choose I'd say Walcott.

Can score a few and has a more time to improve than the others.

I'd have Wallcott, suposed to be a Liverpool supporter. English. Could do with a change of team. Do not think he has had a propper run the the Arsenal team. Nani can stay with the scum...
