Is "The Boys from the Mersey" worth a read? Looked it up on Amazon nd it looks appealing. Also, was reading one of the reviews and it says that they were not sure if people from outside the city would understand the humour/phrases. However, i usually have no problem understanding the humour as it is very similar to Irish humour and the same being with the phrases. But, what do use think? Would most understand it?

That sounds like it could be a laugh to read. Is it?

"44 years with the same bird" is f***in boss.  ;)

I've had trouble with my sleep in the last few days, so I woke up 5am today with no reason. Stayed 2 hours in bed just reading this and I think it's now part of a very small personal list of things better than sleeping.

I'm very much looking forward to read the other books mentioned here.

How did I miss this back in March? Now that school is over I can concentrate on some essential reading. ;)

I've only read 'Carra' and Keith Salmon's book 'We Had Dreams And Songs To Sing'. I'll be getting on Amazon UK today to place an order. I'm thinking 'Faith of Our Fathers' & '43 Years...' (I only hear/read good things), at the very least. Though, wait. Do any particular books' profits go to LFC? I understand that a book like Keith Salmon's is only making money for himself and his publisher, but are there any published for LFC where they see anything from the sales?

I'll need some advice, though, as I was hoping to get some biographies under my belt, too. Any suggestions?
