We were mediocre and Torres saved us. To be honest if we play a team in form like Chelsea we might see how bad we are at the moment. I wouldn't rule out a drubbing. That for me is unacceptable, as is Poulsen we need Aquilani back! I'm sure he would've carved West Brom a couple times open today.

I thought he covered a sh*t load of ground and looked forward to Torres, Dirk and especially Steven. Was the only link between midfield and attack for me considering Poulsen got a nose bleed as soon as he turned towards the opposition goal.

If Raul played like that on debut most people would say 'ooo err very promising!' and what not.

Glad with the 3 points but its scary to think what would happen in that midfield if Gerrard wasn't there.

Lucas and Poulsen have as much creativity as a rock.

Poulsen wasn't great today, but it was only his second game.  What did Aqualani do to suggest he would have done anything today?  He was unfit half the season and rarely featured when he was fit, the previous manager clearly had little faith in him.  When Maxi is fit, Cole is not banned and Meireles is playing, we won't need Aqualani.

Kuyt was good today, did well on the left and it was great work to set up the goal.

I F***ing hope to F**k Cole doesn't fit the type of striker he wants, Cole is getting booed by his own fans at the moment that is all you need to know about him and it aint because he is looking for a move.

The lack of creativity is the biggest problem from today's game, proved by Gerrard coming deep and Torres going out wide to get the ball.  It just makes the decision to send Aquilani out on loan and sign Poulsen even more mind boggling.  Pure madness that decision.

Hopefully with Meireles signing we never have to see Poulsen and Lucas together again.  One thing that was good today was Kuyt on the left, he improved immensely second half.

Not impressed with Skrtel again and he's definitely gonna concede a penalty at some point if he keeps tugging on shirts in the box.  Not convinced by Agger at left back either, would much rather see him alongside Carra.

I've defended Lucas a lot in the past Crouchy but I thought he was poor today. I'll sgree he tried to look forward more than Poulsen but he still didn't have a good game. He is dwelling on the ball too much this season and more often than not giving it away if it is not a simple 5 yard pass.

Also I'd bet my house on Meireles having a much better game than either of or CM players today.

I can not credit Lucas or Poulsen with anything other than raping and butt F***ing my eyes today, they really were that bad to watch.
